Hi everyone,

We are still in the talks and we are still awaiting instructions from them.

What we can share is that we aren’t allowed to post any more on our site. Everything that is under them will be moved to webnovels.

  1. Qidian should hire you guys to be buyer/translator/editor cause really all of you are so good, I haven’t seen or read anything I dislike on mistycloud. Everything you pick up is a good read. It’s a shame cause I have no access other than your site to these stories yet.
    Please keep posting, even if you just post a simple update (not even translating), I would still check out mistycloud. Thank you for all the doses, all are my addiction and joy.

  2. You guys should argue with we novel, they tell you, you can’t post certain novels anymore like GDBBM because it’s “under them” and yet they don’t even have it on thier site. That is unless it’s under a different name then that’s why I can’t find it. They should not be allowed to stop you from translating and posting novels which they don’t even have.

    If they don’t have the novels on thier site and someone has found can they please let me know the title it’s under.

  3. Seriously….in webnovel u need to check-in to get the blue stone every day.. And each chapter u need to give 3/4 stone! U get only 10/11 blue stone in a day! I cant enjoy reading novel none-stop anymore..😢😢i do read novel in webnovel but i could only focus on 1 novel😔

    1. Hi, you can vote for upcoming books and rank the current ones for a total of 10 stones/daily. Plus what you get from check-in. This should help, as I get about 30 stones/daily because I watch a video from the app which also gives stones.

    1. Well, similarly, until now the author has been dead as well because people like us, including you, enjoy authors’ efforts for free and never support them 🙂

      1. That’s a disingenuous statement. I never said that I wouldn’t support the author, only that I do not and will not support Qidan International. The author is free to do as they please. My recommendation to this site is to take down any translations, make NO arrangement with QI, and if QI is seen to be stealing their translation work, send out a DMCA because they are not entitled to free translations either.

        The author never made an effort to translate their story to English, if they wish to do so now, then by all means, heck if Misty Cloud Trnaslations was enlisted to do so many of us would definitely pay. But don’t accuse me of not supporting the author simply because I don’t support bad faith entities like Quidan International then you’re either a shill or an imbecille.

  6. I bet that they have all the license of all the novels translated and they dont have the guts to translate them until the fans translate them and then get credit for it.

    There is also the option of working with webnovel like how the kings avatar translator did. I honestly don’t know how it all worked out but you did a good job for 6 to 8 female mc stories that webnovel is claiming that you guys can’t do if because of licensing and legal issues. It is like the HOK from volare.

    I hope that you guys can still translate even on webnovel I dislike the stones thing that webnovel implements but I am rooting for your success in at least being part of webnovel or something else.

    Ah Las woah is us the poor fans, readers and translators and editors and etc…

  8. Ughh I feel so crushed to hear this! Thanks for all your hard work! -__- If they restart your translations i’m going to flip. I hope you guys get to translate where you left off from there and get paid for it once it’s premium! Otherwise, if it goes premium I’m dropping the novels.

  17. I’m just asking but….. who gave them the authority to steal your projects? And will the be uploading new chaps or will they start all over!? Or will you be translating for them?

    I’m really sad that i can’t enjoy my daily dose of happiness here anymore but keep adopting new awsome novels and make my day with it!❤

    1. Without getting into the messy details, Qidian is represented by Webnovel.com owns the rights to the original story, Since they have the rights to that, they can technically stop people from producing derivative works(aka translations) based on it.

      It’s probably more involved than that, but that’s the rough basis of why they can do this.

    2. Well, they own the story, so they have full rights to do further actions. They can even sue translators for ‘stealing’ authors’ work, generate money, without giving anything to the author. Why so many READERS can’t understand this? What we have been enjoying so far reading all these translated novels are MOSTLY ILLEGAL! I repeat ILLEGAL! Because we enjoy them for FREE, without paying a single penny to the author, not even ASKING FOR PERMISSION from the authors (I don’t know about misty though). Of course I believe all translators understand this and the risk involving working with copyrighted publication. So they should have been prepared. What I am mad about is that most readers take for granted that we could get access to these beautifully translated novels for free and complain a lot, because they are feeling entitled and feel that reading these novels for free are normal. That authors should not have the rights to complain. That authors should work hard for readers, so readers can always enjoy them for free. What we are doing is not normal and unfair to the authors. When can people understand this? You don’t have money, you don’t pay, so it is fair and normal that you don’t get the products. Since we don’t have enough money to read all interesting novels in the world, it is just right for us to at least acknowledged that we are doing illegal stuffs and not complaining when what author did is just taking what they own.

      2. Nor is it illegal to create derivative translations of said works when their is no available alternative.

        Once there is one. You must abide by the free works blah blah sub-law.

      3. Say even if Qidian wants the translation they can’t just copy paste it. They have to get the translators permission. If the translator says no and/or refuses to sell. Qidian has to start from chapter 1. As they own the novel but not the translation.
