Chapter 29.2: Princess Consort Kills Someone, You Carry the Sword

 

“Your Highness!” Feng Yun’s eyes flared wide with shock, never thinking that His Highness would protect Mu Wushuang so much!

Liu Jiaojiao’s gaze stared piercingly at Mu Wushuang, before she lowered her head to hide the jealous hatred brewing in her eyes.

The corners of Mu Wushuang’s lips curved up, her face excited to watch the upcoming drama unfold.

Long Moshen’s eyes turned towards Feng Yun, and he said in a frosty voice: “What? You think that this Prince is wrong here?”

Feng Yun quickly lowered his head submissively in an instant. “Your subordinate would not dare!”

Although he was the captain of the guards, and a person that was assigned to His Highness by the previous Emperor, he still did not dare to go against His Highness. To the people out there, he enjoyed great status and authority, where even the other Imperial princes had to show him a little leeway at atimes. That was because to all those people, he was one of Long Moshen’s swords, used to kill for the Prince Regent’s sake, which was the reason that made people come to be wary of him.

But here inside the Prince’s palace itself, he was nothing more than a lowly and powerless guard captain.

“Yun Hao.” Long Moshen commanded in a deep voice.

“Your subordinate’s here!” A loud clear voice sounded outside.

Immediately, a tall young guard came walking in, and then fell on one knee before Long Moshen.

Mu Wushuang remembered him. He was the guard who handed her the elixir and was passing the Imperial Uncle’s messages back in the street earlier, a man who looked every inch like a big shy boy.

“From now onwards, Long Yi and you will be the Princess Consort’s personal bodyguards. If the Princess Consort wants someone killed, the two of you will carry the sword for her.” Long Moshen said without any emotion on his face.

But those very same words immediately caused Feng Yun and Liu Jiaojiao to lose themselves for a moment as their mouths fell wide agape in shock…… Did His Highness…..  just proclaim Mu Wushuang to be the Princess Consort….. and has even made Long Yi her very own personal bodyguard! ?

And who is this Long Yi you might very well ask. Long Yi is Long Moshen’s very own personal shadow guard, always hidden from sight and never showing more than a glimpse of himself, a person that Feng Yun had never once seen even though he had served Long Moshen closely for ten long years!

“Yes Your Highness! Your subordinate hereby vows to ensure the Princess Consort’s safety with my very life!” Yun Hao said in a clear loud voice. Although just the image of His Highness and that Princess Consort together was a rather jarring sight to see, but as a fully qualified and professional guard, he would not hesitate to carry out the orders given to him a hundred and one percent.
