Chapter 50.2: Sentence Her To Death!
The next day, Mu Wushuang’s door still did not open.
The Dark Red Lotus was not as easy to tame and refine as Mu Wushuang had imagined. The deviant flame had developed its own spiritual consciousness and it pretended to submit itself to her in the beginning, showing its willingness to be tamed and refined. Who could have known at the most critical juncture at the end, the deviant flame suddenly turned around to resist strongly, and sought to devour Mu Wushuang.
Mu Wushuang struggled with the deviant flame for more than a month before she was able to eliminate its spirit consciousness, and refine it completely. During that period, her cultivation had also grown by quite a bit.
More than a month’s time spent in the dimensional space equalled to three days outside. She still wanted to try cultivating elixirs with the deviant flame when she heard the noise of a commotion outside.
“Princess Tian Xiang, you cannot go inside. Our Young Miss is currently refining her deviant flame and she must not be interrupted!”
Sang Lan was frantically trying to block the way through the doors, refusing to let Princess Tian Xiang and her people who had suddenly showed up here and were aggressively trying to barge their way in.
“What manner of creature are you to be worthy of speaking to this Princess here? Someone come slap that mouth off her face!”
“Even if you are going to kill this lowly servant, this lowly servant still cannot allow you to go inside!” Sang Lan said loudly, her stick thin frame planted resolutely before the doors as a palace maid slapped her face continuously. After just a short while, her face had turned red and swollen.
Mu Yuheng came running over when he heard the noise and he went to stand right before Princess Tian Xiang to block her way through.
Under that cold chilly weather, Mu Yuheng’s forehead was covered in a thin layer of sweat, the corner of his mouth tinged with a hint of medicinal brew that he did not even have time to wipe away before he came running over in a hurry.
“A useless mute like you dares to get in this Princess’ way?” Princess Tian Xiang’s face contorted up in disdain. “Let this Princess here tell you now, that the good for nothing idiot Mu Wushuang will never be able to tame and refine that Dark Red Lotus but will end up being devoured by the deviant flame instead! This Princess is doing this for her own sake you ungrateful wretches!”
As Princess Tian Xiang spoke, anger rose on her face.
She had waited for three whole days thinking that Mu Wushuang would go grovel and fawn, and try to go win her Fourth Brother’s affection by bringing the Dark Red Lotus to him. Never had she ever expected that Liu Jiaojiao would suddenly tell her that Mu Wushuang was attempting to refine the Dark Red Lotus herself! That useless good for nothing impetuous dog!
It wouldn’t matter to her much if Mu Wushuang were to be devoured by backlash from the Dark Red Lotus. What Princess Tian Xiang was most worried about was the fact that after a Dark Red Lotus that had gained its own spirit consciousness devours a person who failed to refine it, it would then go on to disappear without a trace. She had waited so many years before she was able to come across such a high level deviant flame. If this deviant flame was lost, she would definitely want to pound the bones of Mu Wushuang and her entire family into dust and scatter them all into the wind!
“Out of my way!”
The more Tian Xiang thought about it, the angrier she became, and she pushed Mu Yuheng aside with a strike of her palm. She was just about to kick the doors open and barge her way in when the doors suddenly opened up on their own, to reveal a cold frosty face.
