Chapter 52.2: Playing Games To Win Favour
“Imperial Physician Zhang, how is Young Master Mu’s condition?”
Long Moshen asked in an icy voice.
“Reporting to Your Highness, Young Master Mu’s condition is well on its way to recovery…..”
“Ugh!”
At that moment, Mu Yuheng suddenly sat up with his eyes still closed and vomited out a mouthful of dark black blood. There were even bits of what looked like internal organs mixed within that ghastly puddle and the boy then fell back onto the bed.
The faces of the rest of the other Imperial Physicians turned dark. He looks like he is right on the verge of death and you still dare to say he is on the route to recovery?
Imperial Physician Zhang nodded his head with a laugh and continued to say.
“The Pristine Green Elixir has a restoring effect on damaged internal organs that repairs a person’s dantian and his meridians. Young Master Mu was severely injured after he was poisoned in his earlier years which wrecked his meridians to pieces and his dantian was damaged, causing his body to be unable to absorb nourishment from tonics and was his life could barely be sustained only through the use of expensive herbs. But his dantian and meridians have now been fully restored and Young Master Mu has well recovered from his condition.”
So what he vomited out was just the damaged bits and pieces of his organs and meridians.
And that could only mean that it was really the Pristine Green Elixir that had long been lost to the world!
Unable to hide their shock, the Imperial Physicians then heaved a collective sigh of relief. Seems like they would be able to keep their heads on their necks.
Long Moshen’s expression thawed slightly as his gaze fell upon the young lady who was wiping the blood off of Mu Yuheng’s face.
The young lady’s actions were gentle, careful and tender like she was handling something rare and precious to her. His brows then knitted together. The boy has recovered so why doesn’t she go rest but is still here keeping watch over him?
Mu Yuheng slowly stirred awake and the moment he opened his eyes, he saw his wane and tired looking sister’s face which seemed to have lost a good amount of flesh, the dark circles around her eyes heavy, like she had not slept for an entire month.
“Sis…..”
He opened his mouth instinctively without thinking, wanting to ask her a question by mouthing the words to her. To his own utter and complete surprise, he heard his own voice, the voice that was so familiar to him, the voice that he had missed for such a long time.
“I……”
His voice was still a little hoarse and raspy, scratching his throat, and he still could not speak coherently entirely.
Mu Wushuang stopped him from continuing to attempt to speak and smiled at him as she said: “You just got back your voice so do not strain it too much for now. Take it slow and steady. One more thing, try to get a feel of your own body’s condition now.”
Mu Yuheng was stunned for a good while, unable to believe that he could really speak again, which felt like it was all just a dream. Immediately after that, he also discovered that his body no longer felt as weak and frail, that wrecked and broken body with a dantian that did not work no longer felt painful. He then lightly attempted to absorb the world’s spirit energy, and found that the spirit energy obediently went into his meridians and pooled properly in his dantian, smooth and uninhibited, feeling just like it had so many years before.
It was absolutely incredible.
Surprise and absolute delight broke out on the youth’s face, his jet black eyes bright and sparkling and twinkling like starry skies.
Mu Wushuang knew it there and then, that the brilliant and confident youth from before, had come back.
