Chapter 84.1: Purging the Poison for the Imperial Uncle
Mu Wushuang snuggled up inside the Imperial Uncle’s embrace. His chest was wide and muscular, and carried a faint soothing musky scent of ambergris, enveloping her within a powerful manly aura.
However, what she did not see on that always cold and aloof person at that moment, was the tenderness in the man’s deep penetrating eyes.
Suddenly, Long Moshen’s brow furrowed up as he held her by her shoulders and said: “You’ve been poisoned?”
He had many kinds of poison in his body and some of them have been in there for several decades, so he was able to detect poison just with his nose.
“It’s nothing. That little bit of poison wouldn’t be able to kill me.”
Mu Wushuang said in reply, and the corners of her lips raised up. She could see that the Imperial Uncle was genuinely concerned about her and the feeling of having someone care so much was really rather nice.
And what she said was the truth. Although the Soul Sealing Powder was highly lethal and people below the Spirit Warrior level would basically immediately lose their lives in the instant it came into contact with their skin. But she was an Elixir Refiner and she had a good amount of antidotes and antitoxin elixirs all prepared.
Hence, what was seen as highly lethal poison in the eyes of others was not worth bothering about at all to her.
Even though she said that she was alright, the look on the Imperial Uncle’s face still did not look fine, a malevolent aura spilling out from his body, causing the air around him to grow heavy, his eyes icy as frost.
“It’s alright Imperial Uncle, there’s no need to get angry. I am fine, and I will definitely exact my own revenge for this.”
Mu Wushuang said coaxingly to soothe the Imperial Uncle’s ruffled feathers.
Of course she would not let the matter rest like that. She was not some benevolent mother saint. Even the Emperor was trying to kill her and she had survived because of her own abilities. But vengeance must definitely be served.
Vengeance was a dish best served cold afterall, so she had all the time in the world to plan for it.
Seeing that the Imperial Uncle’s brow was still tightly knitted up, she reached her hand out to smoothen the crease. “Imperial Uncle, don’t furrow your brow like that. Frowning so much will make you age faster.”
As expected, those words had just come out when the knitted brow immediately relaxed.
But, the point he gathered from her words was a little off. “Shuang Er thinks that this Prince is old?”
Mu Wushuang burst out laughing. “Although the Imperial Uncle is a little older, but this face of yours does not look old at all! If Imperial Uncle is able to smile more often, then you will look even younger!”
In fact, the Imperial Uncle’s face was like a handsome devil’s, looking to be twenty years old at most, stunning and mesmerizing to all who saw him, like it was a work of awe that was crafted by celestial hands.
But his gaze was too piercing and his emotionless face made him look very stern, his entire body always giving off a cold icy air which made him highly unapproachable, making people fear him and become distant.
Still, she did not see the Imperial Uncle crack a smile throughout the entire journey to the Hou Manor.
But just the thought that the Imperial Uncle might be sulking because of her made her feel that the Imperial Uncle was a little adorable.
Only Heaven knew why she would ever use the word adorable on this man.
