Chapter 88.2: Evicted and Confiscated

Early the next morning, the sky was just brightening when people from the Hou Manor opened their main doors and they were stunned in shock!
Boxes and boxes of gold, silver and precious stones filled up the empty ground in front of the Hou Manor which extended all the way to the street outside, the end of it too far to see.
What do people mean when they say a mountain of gold and silver?
This here… is literally what a mountain of gold and silver is!
Their eyes were almost blinded by the glitter and scintillation of the myriad colours before their eyes!
“Men! Hurry up and come! Go fetch the Old Master and Madam! There’s a horde of treasure here outside our Hou Manor! A countless amount of gold, silver and precious baubles!” The guards at the door called out loudly.
“What’s the matter?”
Lady Wang had been crying the whole night and had just been awoken by the loud commotion outside, so the colour on her face was looking really bad.
“Madam, outside….. There’s lots and lots of gold outside our doors!” The serving maid said excitedly.
“Gold?”
Lady Wang immediately sat up. She could not even be bothered to clean and wash up at all but just slipped on a pair of shoes before she went running outside.
This woman, loved money the most. When she heard that there was gold, she went scuttling ahead faster than the maid.
When she reached the door, she discovered that the Old Master and that wily vixen were already there!
