Chapter 89.2: Utterly Shameless
Lady Wang came to realize what was happening and her face changed a few shades of white and green. But greed took over her and she said with a dry sounding laugh: “So all this money belongs to Mu Wushuang. Well, as her paternal aunt, I should just help her put all these money safely in the vault. Guards, move all these boxes inside!”
“It’s my sister’s money. It is only natural that my sister will make her own arrangements for it!”
A cold clear voice rang out.
People then saw an elegant and suave youth come walking out, his handsome countenance fine as precious jade.
“Ooh, it’s Mu Yuheng! Heavens! He is already at the spirit disciple’s fifth grade! A truly gifted prodigy indeed!”
“He’s so handsome looking, absolutely divine and breathtaking!”
Many young ladies were completely smitten.
Mu Ningxue and Mu Ningwei clenched their jaws tightly. They knew that Mu Yuheng had regained his gifted talent and his cultivation was advancing so quickly. It might not be long that they would be well overshadowed by him, and who would still remember them when the Hou Manor was mentioned?
Lady Wang ground her teeth hatefully. All that money could have been safely locked up in the family vault and with the key to the vault in her hand, those siblings Mu Wushuanga and Mu Yuheng would have to go through her before they can spend a single copper from there. But right at that most opportune moment, Mu Yuheng just had to butt in.
“Oh Yuheng, your Aunt here was merely showing concern and wanted to help you two keep the money in the vault so that it would not block everyone’s way out here you see?”
Lady Wang said with a wide smile on her face.
“Sang Lan, where is your Young Mistress?”
Long Moshen immediately voiced out to ask when he saw Sang Lan standing just behind Mu Yuheng.
“Your Highness, Young Miss is feeling very tired and is still sleeping. She said that Your Highness can just make the arrangements on her behalf.” Sang Lan quickly replied.
The Young Miss said she was too lazy to get out of bed and there was nothing she could do about it.
Tsk. The Prince Regent came here personally and that Mu Wushuang still wants to laze in bed! That is really outrageous!
Against what everyone had expected, the Prince Regent did not hold it against the young woman but just curved up the ends of his lips before he ordered a guard to go fetch the Scarlet Cloud Hall’s manager, not bothering to discuss it with Lady Wang at all.
When Lady Wang heard that, half her heart turned cold. Getting the Scarlet Cloud Hall’s manager here would naturally mean that all these money would be deposited straight into Mu Wushuang’s purple crystal card, and all of them from the branch family would not even be able to get a single whiff!
Lady Wang quickly signalled to her two daughters with a sharp glance, wanting them to say something about this, to make the Prince Regent give up on that idea.
But the attention of both Mu Ningxue and Mu Ningwei was not on their mother at all. One was gazing straight at the Prince Regent and it was not known what the other one was thinking, her eyes shifty and darting around.
Lady Wang then turned to look at the Old Master, who was acting so submissive, like a mouse before a cat when he saw the Prince Regent.
By the time she managed to bolster up enough courage to speak again, Long Moshen made his way straight inside the manor without a word.
