Chapter 115.1: Stunned!
The divine phoenix is about to be born!
It would be too late even if Mu Wushuang wanted to learn about sealing talisman scripts.
She immediately opened her eyes, her upslanted eyes cold as frost.
“All demon beasts on Heaven and Earth, hear my call!”
Her consciousness flared out faster than light, and all demon beasts level six and below came running out from the mountains’ inner reaches towards the outer fringes!
“My Heavens! It’s a beast tide!”
“Quick! Run!”
From the deep inner reaches of the mountains, many cultivators were scrambling their way out like startled birds, running out towards the outer fringes.
When people at the campsite that Mu Wushuang was at heard the commotion, everyone came running out from their tents to see what was happening. They could feel the ground tremble and shake like an earthquake, and it seemed like hundreds of demon beasts were rushing out towards the outer fringes.
“We have to run and hide behind the city walls!” Someone cried out.
Song Yiyang pulled on an outer robe and came out, immediately wanting to look for Mu Wushuang. However, there were too many people around running for their lives, making it impossible to locate the young lady.
It’s another beast horde. Is it her?
“Big Brother, what’s happening?”
Helian Duo woke up still sleepy eyed, tugging at Helian Yuan to ask.
“Beast tide. We have to go.”
Helian Yuan said curtly.
But in his heart, he felt that this was a little strange. Why would a beast tide suddenly occur? Is it just a strange phenomenon because of the imminent birth of a divine beast or was there any reason this was happening?
But no matter what, there were more than a hundred demon beasts rushing towards the outer fringes right now. At times like this, regardless how high one’s cultivation was, it was not advisable for them to take on an entire horde of demon beasts, and the only thing to do would be to hide.
“Yuheng, the phoenix is about to be born and I needed to create a distraction. Make your way into the city quickly and use some money to get a house to hide in. Tell the house owner that there will be two of us staying in there, and you must not come out after that. Make it seem as though there are two people living inside the house. Once I’m done dealing with this, I will go find you.”
Mu Wushuang said hastily to her beautiful little brother.
Mu Yuheng understood the gravity of the situation and he nodded immediately before going on to say: “You must be careful. I have only one sister, and you’re life is more important to me than any divine beast.”
“Mm. Got it. If I’m unable to hold on to the divine beast, I will make sure I protect my own life.”
Upon saying that, Mu Wushuang went scuttling into the forest, and disappeared from sight.
Mu Yuheng made his way as fast as he could towards the city. He did not go with anyone he knew and immediately rented an empty house with some money. He then told the landlord that he came here with his sister to hide from the beast tide, and as his sister got mildly injured, she would need to recuperate for a few days, so they did not want to be disturbed.
