Chapter 116.2: Divine Beast Acknowledges Its Master
The ground outside was filled with ghastly blood and demon beasts’ dead bodies, a sight which pained Mu Wushuang greatly. If not for the need to create a distraction by way of a beast tide, all these demon beasts would not come here to the city to become targets for the cultivators on top of the city walls, and the demon beasts had not harmed a single person here.
“Treasure Hunting Mole!”
Mu Wushuang called out in a hushed tone.
“Squeak!”
A golden little mole scuttled over to come before her.
“Are you done digging?”
“Squeak!”
The little mole puffed out its chest proudly, indicating that she should follow it.
They came over to a remote little slope, and after parting the long grass open, a freshly dug hole was then seen. Inside the hole, many Treasure Hunting Moles were moving soil out, and when they saw the young lady, they all started to chitter happily.
Mu Wushuang took out dozens of bottles filled with elixirs and gave it all to them, and ordered that some of those elixirs were to be given to the injured demon beasts outside the city.
She then crawled inside the hole, and followed the tunnel for a quarter of an hour to come out inside the city.
“Fill the hole completely and remember to not leave any trace behind.”
Mu Wushuang turned to tell the Treasure Hunting Moles behind.
The Treasure Hunting Moles nodded obediently, and then started to fill the hole back.
With no one around, Mu Wushuang then dusted the dirt off her clothes, and put her veil hat over her head. She made her way along nonchalantly, and sent a message to her beautiful little brother as she walked.
A short moment later, the jade inscription strips lit up.
Having received her beautiful little brother’s directions, she found the little courtyard very quickly.
“Sis!”
When Mu Yuheng saw that his sister was safe and sound, he was ecstatic.
The inner reaches of the mountains was rocked by sounds of calamity previously and Heaven’s lightning tribulation had struck forty nine times. Anyone would know that that was a sign that a divine beast had been born. But a beast tide had struck right at that same moment, rendering all the cultivators who wanted to rush into the mountains’ inner reaches completely helpless and stuck. However, the Sect Leader of the Martial God Sect and Helian Yuan still managed to break through the siege and went into the mountains, which worried Mu Yuheng greatly. Fortunately, his sister had made it back into the city safely.
“Don’t worry. I’m fine. But with the birth of the divine beast, every single cultivator under the sky would be watchful and wary, so I will have to be careful.”
Mu Wushuang said to her beautiful little brother. She had not been sniggering conceitedly in self glee from having won the divine beast, but was instead being extra careful.
Mu Yuheng nodded. Not a single person under these Heavens couldn’t possibly not try to covet possessing a divine beast. As the saying goes, it’s deemed a crime just by possessing prized jade. He would not allow any suspicion to fall upon his elder sister.

“Young Master! The beast tide has dispersed!”
Gongsun Hai who was searching for suspicious persons in the mountains’ inner reaches saw the jade inscription strips he had lit up, and immediately went to report it to Helian Yuan.
