Chapter 129.1: Elixirs Eaten Like Candy
The little scheme Concubine Yao had in mind was not discovered by Long Aotian.
He thought that Concubine Yao was really being concerned for his Lady Mistress and her younger brother and he went on to say in a persuasive tone.
“The astral winds are very dangerous, and the sand in the wind cuts like a knife when it’s blown onto a person’s face. The Young Miss’ noble body must not even suffer the slightest scratch.”
Otherwise, the Lord will definitely have his head.
In Concubine Yao’s ears, Long Aotian’s words sounded like the man was being so sweet and caring for Mu Wushuang, which caused her sense of crisis to intensify.
Her head was suddenly giddy with jealousy, but her face still carried that same warm smile as she said.
“The City Lord is right. Mu Wushuang threw Concubine Yao a fleeting glance before turning to Long Aotian to ask.
“We’re not going into the level two astral winds? Why, didn’t City Lord Long tell this little concubine of yours that we are going to the spirit stone mine?”

Concubine Yao’s heart constricted, as waves and waves of jealousy and indignance quickly engulfed her heart.
She was aware that there was a spirit stone mine in the Flowing Sands City, a fact that she only came to know during one of Long Aotian’s drunken bouts where he mentioned it in a slip of the tongue. After he told her, he had even made her swear under the Heart Demon Vow, to never reveal it to anyone.
Concubine Yao had thought that Long Aotian was just bringing Mu Wushuang and her younger brother here to see the astral winds, and would never expect that the man was actually bringing the two of them to the spirit stone mine!
She had been with Long Aotian for seven or eight years already, and she had not once dared to hope that he would bring her to see the spirit stone mine!
What right did this woman here have, to make Long Aotian treat her so differently! ? The man was almost shaking his tail while trying to please her! To think that he had even told her about something that was kept so highly secret, the spirit stone mine that was not revealed to any of their people!
Long Aotian quickly said to Mu Wushuang apologetically: “I did not have time to tell Concubine Yao about it yet. Young Miss, as you do not want to wear the protective gear now, you can still choose to put it on later whenever you want.”
He could see that the Lady Mistress was someone with a mind of her own, and he could not possibly go against her wishes.
Long Aotian cast Concubine Yao an admonishing glance. He had gathered that the Lady Mistress was usually a person of few words, and Concubine Yao must have aggravated the Lady Mistress in some way.
But thinking that they were all already here, he did not make Concubine Yao go back.
Fortunately the Lady Mistress did not say anything more about it after that, but just gave Concubine Yao a passing glance before she went walking into the swirling astral wind.
Concubine Yao felt as if Mu Wushuang’s eyes were as cold and aloof as the bright moon within the dark night sky, like the young lady could see right through her thoughts with that one single glance.
