Chapter 102.3: Demon Beast Summon
Mu Ningwei grew anxious. Now that everyone was staying in their places, there was no way for her to pull Mu Wushuang to go run off into the east.
And her Master was also at fault here. Didn’t he say that he was going to draw the demon beasts here? Where are those demon beasts?
At that moment, the Ninth Elder was in quite a quandary. He had indeed drawn in two level five demon beasts as he said he would, but halfway through it, those two darned beasts had suddenly turned around and ran off. He had quickly gone after them in pursuit, to end up encountering a group of level six demon beasts!

Sharp icicles, raging fireballs and scorching lightning bolts, together with razor sharp claws rained down upon him, and his Taoist robe was shredded and torn, his body covered with deep heavy wounds.
As a last resort, the Ninth Elder had no choice but to use a secret treasure he had acquired with a huge sum of money and had to give up one of his arms before he barely managed to escape from there.
“Master! Are you alright! ?”
Mu Ningwei was shocked to see her Master all covered in blood as he collapsed onto the ground. Her Master’s cultivation was already at the Spirit King level! How could he possibly fall into such a wretched looking state? To think that he had even lost an entire arm!
“Ninth Elder, what happened to you?”
Song Yiyang went up to the old man to ask, feeling rather puzzled as well.
Here in the outer fringes of the mountain range, demon beasts above the fifth level were very rarely seen. However, looking at the state the Ninth Elder was in, it did not look like those wounds were inflicted by level five demon beasts.
What could have happened?
Song Yiyang’s gaze sharpened.
“Your Highness, this old man ran into a horde of level six demon beasts.”
The Ninth Elder vomited out a mouthful of blood before he managed to respond.
Song Yiyang’s brows creased up. “Demon beasts at the sixth level and above are known to never congregate in groups. Why would the Ninth Elder encounter a group of level six demon beasts?”
“Your Highness, you aren’t doubting my Master are you? Can’t you see how severely injured he is? Maybe we should leave and go back.” Mu Ningwei piped up.
She feared for her own life. Even her Master got so gravely wounded, who knew what they might encounter throughout this long night.
“It is not advisable for us to move around under the darkness of night. Let the Ninth Elder take some healing elixirs for his wounds first and we’ll discuss this further tomorrow.”
Song Yiyang said in response.
Without getting a clear picture of the situation, how could they just leave like that?
Wushuang was watching him here, so he would have to be bold and show some courage.
At that moment, a strange look crept onto the faces of Ximen Kang and Mu Ningxue.
Mu Ningwei quietly pulled Mu Ningwei to one side and whispered softly: “Could the demon beasts that the Ninth Elder encountered be summoned by Mu Wushuang?”
“How is that possible! ?” Mu Ningwei immediately denied it in a shrill disdainful voice.
“She is just a powerless good for nothing! Do you really think she can summon those demon beasts?”
