Chapter 123.2: The Imperial Uncle is Angry
And she was going to do the same thing this time. She was taken aback for a moment before she gave a cheeky laugh. “Once everything here has been settled, I will go back to the Howling Moon Dynasty with the Imperial Uncle. I really wonder how Grandfather is doing back home in the Hou Manor.”
Long Moshen’s eyes darkened slightly, and the resplendent violet irises changed in colour, turning back into an amber hue like before.
Mu Wushuang’s lips stiffened when she saw that in his eyes, and her heart was suddenly filled with a slight urge to agree to the man’s request.
But rationality won out, suppressing that rash urge in her.
Although she has developed some feelings for the Imperial Uncle now, it was not enough to make her want to spend the rest of her life with him yet.
Moreover, she was guessing that his real identity must be quite extraordinary, and he was someone from a high level realm.
The highly noble air in his mannerisms and demeanor was also telling her that his status in that high level realm was definitely rather high as well.
Whereas for her, though she was confident that she would come to stand high above other people in the future, she was now still too weak. Going to a high level realm now would only mean that she would need to be under his protective wing in order to survive, and that was not what she wanted.
She did not want to rely on someone else in order to reach the pinnacle, and end up being just an accessory to another person.
She was her own woman, and she knew she was destined to be different from others.
Mu Wushuang then brought up something else, skirting around the topic, and Long Moshen did not bring it up again.
“This Prince still has something to attend to, and I shall take my leave first.”
Long Moshen stood up, reverting back to his cold and icy demeanor.
Upon saying that, he left very quickly.
Mu Wushuang stared blankly at the empty dishes on to table for a while, and then let out a long sigh.
If the Imperial Uncle was willing to wait till she became strong and powerful, she would be willing to go with him. But she had not told him that explicitly, because she wanted to see what he would do.
For him to ask her that all of a sudden, it clearly showed that he was able to go back now. Well, his cultivation powers were at a different level every single day, and it was impossible to tell what level his cultivation was at. It seemed like some sort of seal inside his body had been unraveled and he did not fear being ambushed by his enemies anymore.
If he chose to go back now, she would just forget everything, and take it as seeing a fleeting reflection of the moon.

In the morning, Helian Yuan came to visit.
Having suffered from the runs for the entire night, he did not look weak and frail, and being stopped at the door by Mu Yuheng, he did not get angry.
“I am here to thank Miss Mu for the jujube cake she gave me yesterday and to tell her it tasted very good. It was the best jujube cake that I have ever eaten.”
Helian Yuan who had taken special care to wash up to look refreshed said.
A corner of Mu Yuheng’s mouth twitched, his heart coming to admire this big guy who could lie without batting an eye. How could he go against his conscience to say that the spoiled and awful jujube cake was nice. Mu Yuheng really had to take his hat off to this guy!
