Chapter 126.2: Territory of Long Aotian

 

Mu Ningxue’s heart filled with shock and hurt, never ever expecting that the younger sister she doted on so much would push her out to become a human shield at a moment like this. But she did not have time to think anymore about it, but to frantically toss out a spirit artifact to shield herself from the Sky Demon Spider somehow.

But, her reaction was a tad too late!

“Ahhh~~~! !”

The highly corrosive poison sap splattered only her body, her arm, and a few drops had even splashed onto the face that she had tried her hardest to protect!

Fumes rose from the corroding flesh on her body, her shrill scream sounding together with the nasty sizzle eating at her flesh, letting out a nose stinging foul stench.

A tiny twinge of remorse rose in Mu Ningwei’s heart. But when she saw the pitiful state her elder sister was in, those feelings were immediately replaced by trepid fear and she rejoiced at the fact that none of the poison sap had splashed onto her. If she had turned to become what her elder sister looked like now, she would rather die!

The Ninth Elder rushed forward and sliced the poisonous spider in two with a slash of his sword, so that it would not be able to harm anyone anymore.

The look on Mu Wushuang’s face turned ugly, her dark black eyes staring at the Sky Demon Spider corpse on the ground as she stood there without saying a word.

She had already summoned for the Sky Demon Spider to retreat, but as the Sky Demon Spider had sensed that the Ninth Elder posed a grave threat to Mu Wushuang, it was going to spit its poison sap at the Ninth Elder. But before it could even open its mouth, it was already cut into two halves.

“The two of you were lucky to escape from the poison smog, and the two girls happened to be attacked by that Sky Demon Spider. However, know that at this moment, neither Heaven or anything on Earth will be able to save you anymore.”

The Ninth Elder’s revolting gaze fell upon Mu Wushuang’s fair skinned face that was smooth as jade, and he let out a lecherous cackle.

He had not considered that Mu Wushuang had anything to do with the Sky Demon Spider at all but just thought that the demon beast happened to be there, oblivious to the fact that the young lady had been the one who summoned it.

Mu Ningwei knew that Mu Wushuang and her younger brother would not be able to escape from this and she did not bother to pay them any attention but went to help her elder sister to her feet. But before she had even touched her, she saw her sister glaring at her with so much hatred in her eyes, the venom in her gaze sending a chill up her spine.

“Sis…..” Mu Ningwei said in an aggrieved voice: “If I did not push you, then both our faces would be ruined. You’ve always loved me so much, can you really bear to see me be in the state you are in now?”

She was more gifted than her elder sister and had more exquisite looks than her. And she also had the Martial God Sect supporting her while the Cloud Sea Academy that her elder sister was in had been obliterated, which meant that her elder sister did not have any backing at all, so she was the only hope the branch family had to raise their family’s social status from here onwards.

Since that was the case, instead of having both of their faces wrecked, it was only natural that they destroy the weaker one among them isn’t it?

For the sake of the whole family line, can’t she straighten out her thinking?
