Chapter 13.1: Weak and Delicate Maternal Cousin

But….. does he really like to hold her hand so much?
Mu Wushuang lowered her head to look down at her plump pudgy hand held in the man’s palm. Her hand was fat and rough, and there were even bloodstains still stuck under her fingernails. How is he able to not show any disgust and disdain on his face?
It was said that the Prince Regent Long Moshen did not like getting into any physical contact with other people at all. Even in the Imperial Court, if someone were to accidentally come to touch a corner of his robe sleeve, he would brutally cut that person’s arm right off. For someone who would clear the streets wherever he passes, but was not showing any disdain for her dirty and filthy hand, she found it really hard to decipher the man’s thoughts.
Her eyes darted to the side and she suddenly leaned her head against the man’s shoulder to rest.
Maybe just holding her hand was the absolute most he could endure. Then, she would try placing this ugly face of hers right onto his clean and completely spotless clothes, untainted like white jade, and just millimeters away from his handsome looking face. Would he then lose control of himself, and give her a brutal beating?
Just as she expected, she could clearly feel his shoulder and his entire body immediately stiffen up, like the ominous calm just before a tyrannical storm breaks.
After waiting for a while, the Imperial Uncle remained stiff as a board, but did not admonish or berate her at all.
Mu Wushuang had no choice but to strike him hard. She pretended to be asleep and unconscious, shifting to find a more comfortable position while in a deep sleep as her lips brushed over his flawlessly smooth face, kissing him right on his cheek.
In that very instant, she felt the air around her start to turn chill.
Looks like he is not going to be able to endure it any longer!
That won’t do. She still needed to borrow silver from him, and cannot afford for him to be angry with her. But she knew now that the man could not possibly be harbouring thoughts a man had for a woman. Thinking about that for a moment, Mu Wushuang quickly raised her head up and pretended to let out a yawn like she had nodded off, casually freeing her hand from its prison at the same time.
“I’m feeling so sleepy. Imperial Uncle, did I just nod off to sleep?”
Mu Wushuang saw the Imperial Uncle’s pair of cold eyes looking at her, as she pretended to ask drowsily.
Long Moshen however went on to close his eyes shut without a word, remaining silent.
That was close. Mu Wushuang stuck her tongue out in relief. If he had really become angry, where was she going to find someone as generous hearted as him to lend her such a sum of money?
She had already tested him out to find what manner of thoughts he had towards her, and she would have to find out more about that slowly over time.
They reached the Prince Regent’s palace not long after and Mu Wushuang waited till the Imperial Uncle was seated in his wheelchair and had gotten off the sedan before she climbed off.
At that moment, a figure came running out at great speed through the front doors all of a sudden. Wearing a plain white dress, looking coquettish and pretty, like a fluttering butterfly over the snowy grounds. She then said coquettishly in a high pitched voice.
