Concubine Yao was utterly disgusted at Mu Wushuang’s gift of lowly grade one elixirs and she could not help but sneer.
She did not think that the City Lord would want the young lady’s elixirs at all, as those lousy elixirs made for such a shameful and miserable gift that she was angry at the young lady on the City Lord’s behalf.
Otherwise, she would not have dared to be so blatantly sarcastic.
Seeing that Mu Wushuang was not saying anything, the contempt in her eyes became more obvious. “Let Concubine Yao give this Young Miss here a piece of advice. You’d better keep that grade one elixir away as our great City Lord would have absolutely no use for elixirs of such quality at all.”
She paused to look at Mu Wushuang carefully, seeking to see a look of shame and embarrassment on her face. However, Mu Wushuang’s expression remained impassive, the young lady’s eyes looking at Concubine Yao like she was looking at a clown, which annoyed Concubine Yao greatly.
Little did Concubine Yao notice that her City Lord’s face had turned stern and frosty, and was staring fixedly at her, his eyes filled with abject disappointment and anger.

Mu Wushuang said: “City Lord Long, just take the Minor Recovery Elixirs for now. Although I might be lacking in talent, I can still guarantee the quality of these Minor Recovery Elixirs at the very least.”
She handed the bottle of elixirs back, not even bothering to give Concubine Yao a single glance as people like this were not worth any attention at all.
Long Aotian took it hastily, not daring to refuse the Lady Mistress’ kind intentions a second time.
“Thank you Young Miss. The value of these elixirs are worth much more than everything I have in the City Lord’s manor. Your humble Long here has nothing much to offer in return but I just happened to have gotten my hands on this single Mermaid Pearl and I would like to gift it to the Young Miss!”
Long Aotian brought out a small pearl that was red as a ruby to offer to Mu Wushuang as a gift in return.
“Mistress, that is a really great treasure!”
Mu Wushuang had initially not wanted to accept it, but when she heard Little Vermillion’s and Little Bird’s voices in her head, she stretched her hand out to accept the Mermaid Pearl.
Mu Wushuang did not know that Concubine Yao’s heart felt as if a bolt of lightning had just struck her.
