Chapter 15.2:Ten Times in Return For Anyone Who Trifles with Me
At that moment, about four or five old serving women came in, armed with brooms and feather dusters. When they saw Mu Wushuang, their eyes carried a tinge of contempt, noses in the air as they went in haughtily to dust and clean, banging and clanging as dust billowed and flew, going about their task quickly and haphazardly, before they packed up and left, glaring disdainfully out of the corner of their eyes.
“Look at her! She really thinks she owns the place! ?”
“She looks so ugly, she couldn’t possibly think that the Prince Regent is sincerely being nice to her does she? One should live knowing their own limits!”
“Did you see how fat she is? Like a pig! And her clothes look like they are almost going to burst! Hahaha!”
The several woman servants laughed and ridiculed Mu Wushuang loudly as they left. The Prince Regent has already gone to his study anyway, so besides Mu Wushuang, no one else can hear them
“Young Miss, they are all just too much! I’ll go beat them to death!” Sang Lan picked up a vase and was going to run after them.
“Forget it Sang Lan. There is no need to get so worked up with such small minded people. The time will come where they will suffer.” Mu Wushuang said as she dusted off a bench, and sat down leisurely on it, a smile on her smile, completely unaffected.
Those people must have been sent by the lady cousin Liu Jiaojiao to come infuriate her and make her lose her cool. How could she possibly fall for it?
Sang Lan pouted, feeling highly indignant as she set the vase back down.
“It’s alright Sang Lan. Don’t be angry already. I would like to take a bath, but I do not seem to have any clothes to change into. Go look for the housekeeper to buy some clothes for me.”
Mu Wushuang instructed.
“Of course. Your servant will go immediately.”
After a short while, Sang Lan came back in a huff.
“Young Miss, they said that without instructions from His Highness, they do not dare to make any decisions on their own. This is really just too much! It’s just a few pieces of clothing, is there really a need to ask His Highness? They even said….. They said…..”
“What else did they say?”
“They also said that the Young Miss you are a homeless stray, and has no other place to go. Only a fool like me will treat you as a Young Miss.” Sang Lan’s eyes were red, her chest heaving with every single angry breath she stook.
“It looks like Liu Jiaojiao has managed the internal household of the Prince’s palace very well over the past two years, with everyone acting so cohesively against outsiders with such firm resolve. Hahaha. She really thinks she has become the lady of the house.”
“That’s right. All of the Prince’s palace’s internal household matters have fallen within the lady cousin’s grasp and everyone has come to see her as the lady of the house. But His Highness is someone with such peerless good looks, how could he possibly ever fall for her! ?” Sang Lan said in an angry huff.
“There’s no need to get so angry. This Young Miss here has her own way of wiping that smile off that woman’s face.”
Mu Wushuang said reassuringly to Sang Lan.
Leave sleeping lions be. Anyone who trifles with me shall have it returned to them ten times over!
Sang Lan saw that the Young Miss was highly composed, and that calmed her down quite a bit. The Young Miss seemed to be only about ten years of age, but there was a calm reassuring quality about her. Who said the Young Miss is a useless good for nothing? She is so nice and amiable!
“Come. We’re going to the treasury!” Mu Wushuang smiled icily as she shook the key to the treasury in her hand.
