Chapter 17.1: The Future Lady of the House

 

Liu Jiaojiao’s personal maid Ding Xiang said with a smile: “Things have really turned out just as the lady cousin predicted. Mu Wushuang was really unable to hold back her anger and went straight to the treasury to take some valuables. But it was unexpected that she even killed the two guards guarding the place. She actually dared to take a person’s life within the Prince’s palace, His Highness will definitely not forgive her for this!”

Liu Jiaojiao smiled as well. Mu Wushuang wants to set herself against her? She’s still not ripe enough!

She contemplated for a moment and said: “Hurry up and go tell His Highness’ trusted aide, the Guards Captain Feng Yun, that Mu Wushuang killed the guards guarding the palace’s treasury. Remember to spice it up when you tell him about it.”

Feng Yun was a most impatient man, easily irritable. As His Highness was in his study at that moment, Feng Yun would definitely not want to go disturb the man, and go confront Mu Wushuang directly.

Liu Jiaojiao cackled sinisterly to herself. This time, she would make Mu Wushuang have a good taste of suffering!

“Young Miss, are we really taking so much?”

Sang Lan cradled a pile of things that were almost overspilling from her arms, and she was unable to see where she was walking.

“Alright. That will do for now.” Mu Wushuang said as she conveniently grabbed up a diamond Buddha statue, and then put the lock back in place upon the doors.

The mistress and servant pair were carrying all kinds of precious items in their arms whose glittering shine could almost blind someone and they were just about to leave. All the mouths of the servants standing a short distance away from them immediately fell agape, never thinking that Mu Wushuang would really choose to take all of the most valuable and highly priced items from the treasury. 

“Heavens, has she gone mad from poverty? Look at that huge load of valuables!”

“Mu Wushuang is really just too shameless! Is she trying to empty out the Prince’s palace completely?”

Sang Lan asked Mu Wushuang in a soft voice: “Young Miss, aren’t we being a little too showy and conspicuous?”

“Showy is exactly what I want to achieve. Didn’t the Imperial Uncle work so hard to earn all this money just so that his woman can spend it? As the future lady of the house in the Prince’s palace, am I not fit to use these things? That Liu Jiaojiao did not even have a chance to put these things to use!”

Mu Wushuang said as she sauntered slowly through the courtyard, her demeanor haughty and arrogant. She did not really want to become that so called lady of the house, but since she had been given this privilege by the Imperial Uncle, then it would be such a big waste if she did not flaunt it.

“Right. And I heard that the lady cousin had always wanted that large diamond Buddha statue you are holding in your hand!” Sang Lan said with a chuckle, just the thought of seeing the infuriated look on the lady cousin’s face making her can’t help but feel exhilarated.

“Mu Wushuang! Hold it right there!”

At that moment, a highly furious voice rang out from behind. Mu Wushuang turned her head back and saw a guard standing there with eyebrows turned up in rage. She had a good memory and she immediately recognized the man to be the Imperial Uncle’s personal bodyguard named Feng Yun.
