Chapter 17.2: The Future Lady of the House
Seeing the look on his face, it was not hard to guess the reason he had come. She arched up an eyebrow and asked: “You need something?”
“Did you kill the two guards guarding the treasury?” Feng Yun asked angrily. The way those two guards died had been exactly the same as how Mu Ningxuan had looked during the incident on the street before, and he immediately knew that Mu Wushuang must have killed them with the Silver Heart Viper. With eyewitnesses and irrefutable proof, he would like to see how she is going to deny it!
“That’s right.”
He had not thought that Mu Wushuang would admit it so readily, without even attempting to shirk off responsibility.
Feng Xun’s rage intensified. “Do you know that His Highness is the only person here in the Prince Regent’s palace who is able to decide whether a person is to live or die, and no one else can take the life of another at will! ? How dare you take the lives of two guards just because of a mere disagreement! This cannot be tolerated!”
Mu Wushuang’s gaze gradually turned cold, her dark black irises staring straight at Feng Yun, completely emotionless, and that pair of cold unfeeling eyes actually gave him an oppressive feeling as if it was His Highness himself that was staring at him.
“Guard Feng Yun, is your memory really that bad? Then let this Young Miss here remind you once more. I am the person your own lord and master admitted as his future bride to be, and am the future lady of this house. In other words, I am your Mistress! If you would rather subject yourself to be used as someone else’s sword, then why don’t I send you over to the lady cousin to go be her personal bodyguard?”
“That is absolutely untrue! This has nothing to do with the lady cousin! And, His Highness could never possibly let someone like you become the lady of this house! Mu Wushuang, do not try to change the subject here. You killed two people here today in the Prince’s palace for no good reason. Do not think that you’ll be able escape unscathed!” Feng Yun said very sternly.
“Oh? You did not even look into the matter at all and you’re already so certain that I killed people for no reason?” Mu Wushuang started laughing softly. Feng Yun was being so protective of Liu Jiaojiao and seemed so determined to see Mu Wushuang punished, one can’t help but wonder what kind of a drug did Liu Jiaojiao give him.
“You killed them with your Silver Heart Viper, and you’re still going to deny it?”
“This Young Miss here is suggesting that you go investigate into the matter clearly. This Young Miss here merely acted in self defense. They threatened this Young Miss’ personal safety and this Young Miss here was forced to attack in order to protect herself. May I trouble all of you to bring along your brains when you people come out next time, so that you do not assume rain the moment you hear the wind, and be led around by the nose all the time.”
Mu Wushuang said in a scorn filled tone, and immediately turned around to walk off with Sang Lan following behind.
The look on Feng Yun’s face turned an ugly shade and he immediately went in front of Mu Wushuang to block her way. “You cannot leave! You think you can escape after murdering two people?”
Mu Wushuang almost wanted to laugh out loud in anger. “Are you really that stupid? This Young Miss is staying at the Bright Pearl Pavilion. You can jolly well go bring all your irrefutable evidence up to the Imperial Uncle and have him come confront me with it. Good dogs do not block a person’s path. Move!”
The Mistress and servant strode right past Feng Yun. Feng Yun did not go block her way this time, but his face turned a horrible ashen green, an extremely ugly colour.
