Chapter 2.1: How Shameless, Framing the Innocent
“Damned mute! You dare to spit at me! ?”
Mu Ning Xuan’s gorgeous looking face twisted up and a metal whip filled with hooked barbs suddenly appeared in her hand, its surface stained with dark black stains of the dried blood of heaven knows how many innocent souls, it’s barbed tip lashing straight towards Mu Yuheng’s face.
Her cultivation was at the spirit disciple’s second stage while Mu Yuheng had lost all his powers. If that metal whip were to strike the youth, his flesh would surely tear and rend, his face ruined and disfigured.
Although Mu Yuheng had lost all his cultivation, his body still possessed great nimble agility, so it was actually easy for him to dodge the whip. But if he were to dodge, that horrible steel whip would strike onto Mu Wushuang. Hence, he did not move away but stood resolutely in his spot, holding his head up high, unwilling to budge.
However, the excruciating pain he expected his body to feel did not happen. The person he was shielding had come to stand in front of him all of a sudden, and had caught the steel whip with her bare hand.
The hooked barbs dug deeply into her palm, and bright red blood dripped from her hand. However, the expression on the young girl’s face did not show she felt the slightest bit of pain, but was instead smiling at him.
“I am your elder sister. Let me protect you instead.” Mu Wushuang then said kindly to the young boy.
He was such a graceful and good looking youth, and he looked so adorable even when spitting on someone! Just by his looks alone, there was no doubt that she was going to accept this little brother! Moreover, his bashful and rather awkward personality was also really just too cute to resist!
The rims of Mu Yuheng’s eyes grew hot and looking at the young girl, it seemed like she had suddenly grown bigger in stature. This elder sister of his who had always needed him to help pick up the pieces after making a mess of things was at that moment standing right in front to shield him.
Mu Wushuang had not noticed that there was a jade bracelet with the emblem of the Vermillion Bird on her wrist, and did not notice it glow with a faint flash when her blood flowed onto the jade bracelet.
She stared at Mu Ning Xuan and the corners of her lips curled up into a sneer, her gaze turning sinister.
Mu Ningxuan had not thought that the bumbling dolt would actually be able to catch that lash of her whip and when she tried to pull back her whip, she found that she was unable to move it a single inch!
How is this possible? Mu Ningxuan was overcome with shock. Isn’t she a completely useless idiot? It cannot be! She must be mistaken!
She summoned up all her spirit power, and then gave the whip a vicious pull with all her might!
“Whoosh!”
Mu Wushuang suddenly released her grip, catching Mu Ningxuan off guard who then went tumbling backwards, her face falling right into the ground!
“Hahahaha!” Explosive laughter erupted through the crowd.
“You….. You…..” Mu Ningxuan exploded in a rage.
But Mu Wushuang did not wait for her to continue and just interrupted in a cool and indifferent voice.
“I’ve met many shameless people, but never one as shameless as you. Second Sis, you were so eager and just could not wait to come out here to splash all that filthy water onto Grandfather’s good name. Have you ever thought that part of Grandfather’s blood actually flows in your body? You claimed that Grandfather worked in cahoots with outsiders but you can’t even find any trace of Grandfather’s seal on any of those letters at all, which means they can be fabricated all too easily. What kind of an irrefutable hard evidence is that?”
