Chapter 20.1: Extraordinary Half Finished Product

 

Mu Wushuang flipped through books of every kind, before she went over to the bookcase with the books about elixirs.

The two huskies, opps, I mean the two handsome looking youths hung around closely beside her, both of them digging out a book on elixirs each that they wanted to hand over to Mu Wushuang.

“Mistress, this book is great! The elixir formulas are highly innovative!”

“What good can innovation do for elixirs? Mistress, look at this one. This book is not so tedious with details and is very practical!”

Mu Wushuang smiled faintly at them but did not accept either book. She then went ahead to pick up another book on elixirs and said to them: “I’m sorry, but I’ve already finished reading those two books.”

How is that possible? Little Vermillion and Little Bird looked at each other for a moment. In the short time that they took to move out the elixir cauldron, their Mistress has already finished reading so many books?

But they did not dare to voice out their doubts. Little Bird nudged Little Vermillion with his foot and Little Vermillion cleared his throat before he said: “Then, why not let Little Vermillion test Mistress for a bit? What kind of herbs are needed for the Barrier Breaking Elixir mentioned in this book here?”

“Numb Fiend Flower, Builder Stem Grass, Blood Unicorn Horn…..” There were more than ten types of herbs needed and Mu Wushuang named them all without missing a single one, and without the slightest pause in her reply, as if she had memorized them all to heart.

Little Vermillion and Little Bird’s mouth fell agape in astoundment, their actions perfectly synchronized. Properly impressed, both of them then raised their hands up to clap as they cheered: “Mistress is really great! Now I know the Mistress has a mind that remembers everything she sees!”

Mu Wushuang curved up her lips in a faint smile, and she could not help it as her fingers itched so badly to go pinch both their cheeks. It felt so good that she even tugged the soft smooth flesh lightly as if they were her cuddly little pets.

That beautiful looking little brother of hers gets embarrassed too easily but these two fellas here enjoyed it so much, the look on their faces happy like puppies having their fur stroked. Mm. Looks like she would be able to pinch some adorable cheeks as much as she wants from now onwards!

“Alright now. Let’s start cultivating some elixirs!”

Mu Wushuang said after having pinched their cheeks enough.

“Which elixir formula will Mistress be using? I’ll go help pick the herbs for you!” Little Bird jumped up to volunteer.

“Then I’ll help Mistress control the fire!” Little Vermillion said, and immediately transformed back to his fiery red Nine Tail Bird form.

They did not have the special kind of fire that is used specifically for elixir cultivation in their dimensional space so they could only use the flames that they breathe out. Little Vermillion and Little Bird were descendants of the legendary Vermillion Bird from far ancient times and they had the blood of the divine beast flowing inside them. Although the bloodline has been thinned out a little, but breathing out fire was something that was not difficult at all for them.
