Chapter 21.1: Pitiful and Aggrieved
Elixirs are not only categorized into nine grades, they are further segregated between one to nine swirls. One golden twirling line represents one swirl, and its medicinal effect was several times that of a regular elixir. The more twirl lines there are, the greater the elixir’s medicinal effects are. For example, the medicinal effects of a normal grade four elixir might not be as good as a four swirl grade one elixir.
Most elixir refiners would find it very hard to achieve a one swirl elixir, and it was never thought that she would come to accidentally stumble into achieving a one swirl just like that. But that also clearly showed that she was highly gifted, and had exceptional affinity towards medicine and elixirs!
So even though what Mu Wushuang achieved was an unfinished one swirl Meridian Expanding Elixir, it can be said that its effects might be better than that of a regular Meridian Expanding Elixir.
“Elixirs work like this?” Mu Wushuang exclaimed in surprise. This was the first time she was hearing that an unfinished product can give greater effects than a fully complete one.
Meridian Expanding Elixirs were low level grade one elixirs, its formula from far ancient times and no one knew how to make them anymore. According to the introduction of the elixir in the book, the Meridian Expanding Elixir will be able to resolve her clogged meridians problem effectively.
“Mistress, hurry up and eat it. I suppose the effects from this elixir would most definitely expand and clear up your clogged meridians, and it will allow Mistress to absorb spirit energy and you can start cultivating!”
The two handsome youths just could not wait to see her swallow the elixir.
Mu Wushuang was also very curious to see the kind of aptitude a person with the spirit body of divinity enjoys, so she swallowed the elixir immediately. The elixir melted the moment it went into her mouth, and the strong and robust effects of the medicine surged through her body. The very next instant, she felt a tearing pain run through every single inch of her meridians, like thousands of tiny little knives were slicing through them, the pain so unbearable she almost did not want to live!
Splat!
A large mouthful of vile tainted blood spewed out from her mouth, as black coloured blood continued to ooze out through the pores on her body, turning her into a person completely covered in blood, an absolutely horrible sight to behold.
But the two handsome artifact spirits were not showing the tiniest bit of nervousness, but were looking highly pleased with the effects of the unfinished elixir, the good looking faces shining with excitement.
A a good while, the blood on Mu Wushuang body stopped oozing out, and the pain that wrecked her entire body gradually dissipated.
She slumped down to the ground completely drained and exhausted. This body had really low resilience. No matter how strong and great her mental strength was, she was finding it hard to support this uselessly frail and fat body.
Little Vermillion and Little Bird were cheering excitedly as they drew water and came over to Mu Wushuang, helping her clean off the tainted blood from her body, before they breathed out low gentle flames to dry out her clothes.
