Chapter 3.2: Run! It’s a Beast Tide!
Sheesh! What an audacious little idiot!
The pectating crowd wondered where Mu Wushuang found that courage from as they all gasped collectively. It was known that the young woman did not possess a single bit of cultivation and the worst one among all those guards must at least be at the spirit disciple’s second stage. Hitting one’s face swollen to pose as a fatty for a moment’s gratification was definitely going to put her into an early unmarked grave!
“I will kill you and feed you to the dogs!” Mu Ningxuan huffed in rage.
“There’s no need for His Highness and the two young missus to dirty their hands. We’ve always found that idiot a big eyesore and just by letting her live is a crime by itself. Let us do it in your stead!”
Suddenly, several well groomed young men stepped forward, and it was clear to see that they were trying to ingratiate themselves with Mu Ningxue to win her favour.
Mu Wushuang laughed scornfully. One’s got to still remain alive to be able to win a person’s favour isn’t it?
At that moment, a hand tugged at her sleeve. She turned her head around and was met with her handsome looking younger brother’s face whose eyes were filled with immense worry for her.
She had been very worried about Old Lord Hou. But upon seeing that Mu Yuheng did not seem too concerned about the fire at the Hou Manor, she thought that Old Lord Hou was probably not in the house, and her heart became more at ease.
“Don’t worry. I will not let their filthy blood splatter onto you at all.” Seeing how worried her handsome looking little brother was for her, Mu Wushuang said that confidently, to reassure the youth.
She just could not resist wanting to pinch his cheeks. Afraid that the youth might blush red in embarrassment again, she pinched those cheeks lightly and immediately let go, and his skin had felt so incredibly bouncy and smooth!
How foolish! The youth was not worried that blood would splatter onto him but was afraid that she would get hurt! And she even pinched his cheeks! Mu Yuheng quickly turned his head away from the young woman.
Mu Wushuang saw that the tips of the youth’s ears had turned red.
This handsome looking little brother of hers gets embarrassed a little too easily!
That idiot was still able to laugh so freely in a situation like this. That made the group of guys rushing forward at her feel greatly humiliated and they wanted nothing more than to tear her up into pieces so as to appease the rage surging up inside.
However, Mu Wushuang maintained that smirk with the corner of her lips lifted up ever so slightly. But the mirth had gone out of her eyes and had been replaced by a murderous glint. She remained standing in her spot and did not move a single inch, her face seemingly uncaring and nonchalant.
“Don’t tell me she’s petrified and frozen in fear!”
“An already cracked bottle about to be broken, is she merely seeking to die a quick and dignified death?”
“Blood will surely be spilled!”
Furious debate spread through the crowd.
“Something’s not right!” Mu Ningxuan’s brows suddenly knitted up, as she pulled Mu Ningxue and Ximen Kang into a restaurant beside them to hide.
Right at that moment, dozens of huge and enormous demonic beasts came charging up the street, bringing with them a maniacal wind that threatened to engulf them all.
“Heavens! Why are they so many demonic beasts all of a sudden! ? Is that a beast tide?”
“Look up! There’s more of them in the sky! Oh my! That looks like a Silver Winged Tiger! A level five demon beast!”
“What? ! A level five demon beast! ? Better get those feet moving already!”
“Run! Run for your lives!”
