Chapter 33.3: When One is Shameless, They’re Invincible

“Ha! I was just thinking how nice the Imperial Uncle was being to Mu Wushuang just now, but he still stormed off in a huff in the end!” Lady Zhang commented.

Mu Yuande heaved a sigh of relief and wiped the sweat from his brow as he said: “Looks like that pair of siblings do not need us to come bring them away, but His Highness will throw Mushuang and her younger brother out of the palace himself.”

“When that happens, they will be the ones begging to come stay at our house!” Mu Ningwei scoffed distastefully, her gaze staring into the direction Long Moshen had disappeared into, her heart jealous of Mu Wushuang’s good fortune, to have been brought in here by the Prince Regent himself.

Mu Ningxue saw her youngest sister’s besotted gaze and she immediately creased up her brows to say to her: “Long Moshen is crippled and he is not worthy of you developing any feelings for him. What I would like to ask is whether the Martial God Sect’s Holy Son is interested in you. I heard that he is coming all the way here to the Capital City just to look for you, make sure you play a good host to him when he’s here.”

“I know.” Mu Ningwei said distractedly, her mind drifted away with thoughts of Long Moshen’s crippled legs, and how the man must really hate that handicapped body of his. Maybe if she were to get her Master to come here and cure his legs, the Prince Regent might even come to like her.

With that thought in mind, a glint of firm resolve shone in her eyes.

……

“Imperial Uncle~ You do not have to worry at all. I would never have left with them.”

Mu Wushuang tried to make her stance clear as she wheeled the man slowly along. How can any place outside be better than being here in the prince’s palace? There’s good food and wine here, and there’s also the incredibly handsome Imperial Uncle with his unparalleled good looks to gaze at in here.

She saw that the Imperial Uncle was not saying a word and the air surrounding him was still frigidly cold, so chilly that she was almost shivering.

Mu Wushuang thought silently to herself, that the Imperial Uncle was really not that easy to coax.

“Ximen Kang is so ugly looking, his eyes two upsidedown triangles like a snake’s, his face long and narrow like a shoehorn and his nose hooked and crooked, looking like a complete joke. Heavens know who was the one who granted him with the title of a handsome guy. I have never liked him before and it is all just gossip spread by my second aunt and the others. I, Mu Wushuang, have such high standards so how could I possibly fall for that ugly skunk Ximen Kang! ?”

Long Moshen looked at Mu Wushuang flailing her arms all about and his gaze deepened, like he was about to see through everything, and nothing could be hidden from his eyes.

Although Mu Wushuang told a lie, she was not feeling the least bit guilty as the one who liked Ximen Kang was the original owner of her body and not her. In her eyes, Ximen Kang was  show-stoppingly ugly and a brainless nitwit.

She stood there generously to be read and probed, completely fearless.

“Good that you don’t. You had better not have any more involvement with other men from now on.”

Long Moshen said without any expression on his face.

“Involvement” carried too broad a meaning as just speaking a few words to a man can mean that there was some sort of involvement already. Isn’t the Imperial Uncle being a little too tyrannical here?

However, Mu Wushuang nodded her head obediently and did not think too much about it. She had no intention of being hung by the neck on just this lone tree of his. There are so many beautiful men in the world and she wanted to paint the world once over at least!

“Imperial Uncle, Shuang Er understands. Let’s go over there to sit down for awhile shall we?”

Mu Wushuang asked, pointing at the pavilion.

The snow had not stopped and the landscape was covered in a blanket of white. There was a manmade lake in front of the pavilion and there would be servants to bring them charcoal stoves together with tea and snacks over there, sitting there to admire the view for a while would be quite an idyllic way to watch time pass.

Although the Imperial Uncle did not say anything, neither did he voice any rejection, and Mu Wushuang immediately knew that the page had turned for this matter, and she brushed it out of her mind.

It did not matter what he thought, so long as he did not chase her out of the palace for a period. She would not want those people from the second branch family and everyone in the Capital City to see her in a homeless state and she knew that the second branch family were just waiting to see her being thrown out.
