Chapter 4.1: My Friends Got Hungry
The people fled hurriedly into the restaurants and shops nearest to them, so overcome with fright they trembled violently.
The strength of level five demon beasts was almost equivalent to a strong high grade spirit master. It must be known that cultivation levels in the NIne Heavens Continent were categorized into Spirit Disciples, Spirit Warrior, Spirit Master, Spirit King, Spirit Reverend, Spirit Deity, and Spirit Imperial. Every level was further separated into nine stages, and a prodigy like Mu Ning Xue was merely just a sixth stage spirit disciple.
Within the Imperial Capital, besides some great families who pay tribute to experts who are spirit masters and above, most of the people are merely at the spirit disciple and spirit warrior levels.
The people were all feeling rather bewildered why the demon beasts that have always stayed within the mountains outside the city would suddenly come running into the city in such a terrifying horde!
Very soon, everyone came to know the reason for that. But it was so utterly disbelievable that it made all their jaws drop and their eyes almost pop out of their sockets when that ferocious level five Silver Winged Tiger swooped in, and fell into a crouch submissively right at Mu Wushuang’s feet, its head lowered in deference!
The rest of the demon beasts were mostly level three or four, several dozens of them in all, every single one of them submitting themselves before Mu Wushuang!
They were all so tame and docile, nothing like the brutal demon beasts the city’s people knew so well.
WIth just a shift in Mu Wushuang’s gaze, the demon beasts let out a growl and went rending and tearing through the people surrounding the young woman. In the span of a few breaths, the soldiers and the group of men who stepped forward earlier had been turned into ghastly splatters of blood and mush, without a single dead body left behind.
“Sweet Heavens! What is happening here! ?”
“This demon beast horde must have been summoned by Mu Wushuang! How is that kind of an ability even possible! ?”
“Could she possibly be a summoner like what is recorded in the ancient texts? One that has the ability to summon demonic beasts to do her bidding! But summoners exist only in ancient legends!”
“What? So Mu Wushuang is not a useless good for nothing but a powerful summoner? Isn’t that kind of ability a little too tyrannical! ?”
Everyone was in jitters.
Summoning animals was a unique ability that Mu Wushuang possessed in her previous life. She had merely wanted to give summoning a try here and did not think that she would get a reaction so quickly. To think that her special ability had actually transmigrated over together with her soul!
Her ability’s powers had also increased. What she summoned were not regular animals but turned out to be ferocious demon beasts! It seemed like a level five demon beast was the highest level she could achieve for now and as her cultivation advanced, she would be able to summon higher level demon beasts! This discovery made her more driven and greatly bolstered her confidence.
