Chapter 40.3: A Green Plain Atop Your Head
The Young Lord’s face turned very ugly at that moment. None of the other women in his harem was pregnant but just Ah Lian alone, so he had doted on her like his most prized treasure and promised her that the child she bears will come to inherit his noble title. In the end, she had committed adultery with a guard. What a tramp!
The bright and brilliant green hat on his head immediately caused the rage to erupt. He pulled out his sword and chopped off the head of the lying guard in that instant!
The bright red blood sprayed all over Ah Lian, frightening her so badly her legs went weak, her face turning pale.
“Young Lord, your concubine is innocent!”
Seeing that she was still continuing to lie, the greatly enraged Young Lord lashed out and kicked her on the abdomen, causing her to fall heavily to the ground, and blood trickled out in between her legs.
“Help! My child!”
Ah Lian cried out in terror as she held her stomach.
“I would like to see who dares try to save her!”
The Young Lord roared in a loud voice, as he glared viciously at Ah Lian. He then shot Mu Wushuang a venomous glance before leaving hurriedly. They were too many people watching, all of them here to attend the auction and he could not do anything to the girl.
Ah Lian crawled over the ground and came to plead with Mu Yuheng, begging him to save her child.
Seeing that scene, the memories from a few years ago resurfaced in his mind, which seemed to overlap with the present.
She had begged for help so helplessly back then, so pitiful that one just could not bear to watch, and that was the day that had become the source of his nightmares for the last few years.
Now, it was a repeat of that same scene here today. Besides the satisfaction of finally being avengened, not a single ripple stirred his heart, and he would not feel any pity for her anymore.
In the cycles of life and reincarnation, karma follows, and evil people will ultimately come to be punished.
He looked gratefully at Mu Wushuang. To make him pull himself together, his elder sister had really spared no effort.
“Let’s go.” Mu Wushuang said, giving him a comforting pat on his shoulder.
Mu Yuheng nodded, and just went on his way past Ah Lian without any expression on his face.
“Wait! Missy! There’s a drop of blood on your face! Here, wipe that off!”
At that moment, the handsome red clothed man came running over to them, to hand her a handkerchief.
A handsome guy sending himself right up to her door!
“Thanks!”
Mu Wushuang accepted the handkerchief smilingly and asked the good looking man: “Where is the blood?”
“Right here.”
Song Yiyang was smiling so radiantly as he took the handkerchief from her to help her wipe her face gently, before immediately retracting his hands back immediately, acting like a perfect gentleman.
The corners of Mu Wushuang’s lips lifted as she thought to herself. This handsome looking man was suddenly being so friendly to her out of the blue, could he possibly have taken a liking to her? Had her luck in love suddenly turned so favourable?
“I wonder where the Missy would be sitting at the auction later. As my humble self has a private room reserved, would Missy like to come sit with us?”
“No need for that! Our Young Miss has her own private room.”
Yun Hao stepped forward and said in a chilly voice.
His Highness has said that the Young Miss is His Highness’ woman, and he thinks very well of this future Princess Consort. So he is not going to allow any other thug come covet the future Princess Consort so blatantly!
Although what he really wanted to say to the man was whether there was something wrong with his eyes! There were so many beautiful women around them there and he had not gone to approach them but just had to come seek out Mu Wushuang specifically!
Such a young man and his eyesight was already so bad! ?
