“Nine million gold taels! You’ll be able to buy a divine grade martial arts manual with that!”
An uproar rippled through the entire floor and a good number of people thought that Mu Wushuang was indeed still the same good for nothing as before. Spending such a high price for something that she did not need at all, she really has no idea where to spend all that money.
Many people just could not understand why she was doing that, because no one thought that she would have any use for the Dimension Stone. The Dimension Stone was afterall materials used to forge high leveled artifacts and that had absolutely nothing to do with a useless good for nothing like Mu Wushuang.
As for the incident where Mu Wushuang summoned a horde of demon beasts out in the streets a few days ago, rumours had been rife. Those who witnessed it saw that to be the truth, but people who came to hear about it brushed it off as lies. There weren’t too many people present there on that day, and most of the people in the Imperial Capital did not see that scene with their own eyes, and they just could not convince themselves to believe that Mu Wushuang was a summoner of legend that was recorded in the old ancient texts.
Moreover, the strange phenomenon of snowfall in the middle of summer that encased a thousand miles in ice happened right then, which made everyone start to link the demon beasts’ coming to the freakish weather phenomenon, and had nothing to do with Mu Wushuang in the slightest.
