Chapter 49.2: Stopped and Robbed
Mu Wushuang did not take his words to heart at all. Seeing that the man was gone, she immediately went to check her beautiful brother’s neck to see if he had been hurt.
Mu Yuheng shook his head to indicate that he was fine, but his eyes were filled with sadness and worry.
Mu Wushuang knew what was worrying the boy and she immediately said comfortingly.
“It’s alright. The Dimension Stone isn’t something that I need very urgently and such material things can still be purchased in future. I’m just glad that you’re alright, now let me go check on the others.”
Mu Wushuang climbed off the horse carriage and saw that the men had yet to regain their consciousness.
Contemplating on the situation for a moment, she then took out her Minor Recovery Elixirs. She was just about to stuff the elixirs into their mouths when her beautiful little brother snatched the elixirs out from her hands. He then bent down to feed the men the elixirs, not wanting her to do it as he did not want her to touch other men who were unrelated to her.
Mu Wushuang smiled like a flower in full bloom. This proud and beautiful little brother of hers was just too adorable!
Over on the side, Long Yi’s eyes under his mask twitched slightly, and he pretended to still be unconscious. After Mu Yuheng fed him the elixir, he immediately disappeared in a flash, to conceal himself into the shadows, disappearing from sight.
As the shadow guard His Highness assigned to her, it was his responsibility to protect her. But never did he expect that he had not been able to even warn her at all before he was taken out by the enemy. The Young Miss still had to use her own Minor Recovery Elixir to help him recover his spirit energy, and he just could not be more ashamed of himself.
And he had overheard how she had handed over the Dimension Stone to the enemy without any hesitation, a stone that had cost her nine million gold taels to buy, which showed him that their lives were more important to her.
If she had not made up her mind so quickly, he might already be dead now. That person had a very strong murderous aura, and had a heavy scent of blood on him, definitely a ruthless and vicious killer. He was very certain that if she had not done what he wanted, that person would not hesitate to kill each and every one of them to threaten her.
His Highness truly had a good keen eye. Mu Wushuang really had the right qualities to become their future Lady.
When she saw Long Yi vanish like a ghost without a whisper, Mu Wushuang did not think much about it. Long Yi was a shadow guard afterall, and he probably didn’t like being exposed out here in the light.
Steward Wang and Yun Hao stirred awake right at that moment. That person had really been too powerful. They had not even sensed any danger and he was already upon them, knocking their lights out completely. Upon waking up, they had absolutely no idea what had happened, their faces looking all bewildered.
“Someone stopped and robbed us, and has already left.”
Although Mu Wushuang had brushed the whole incident aside with just one sentence, it caused Yun Hao and the rest of them to break out in cold sweat, their fear still lingering in their hearts.
Under broad daylight, to think that someone dared to rob the Prince Regent’s horse carriage. That just meant that the person was not afraid of His Highness, and he had struck with the intent to silence all of them. That person had possessed a very high level of cultivation and it would be as easy as lifting just one finger to kill them all there and then.
