Chapter 56.1: All Beasts Submit, The Phoenix Reigns
A jade pendant with a red string tied to it had been dropped on the snow covered ground.
Up on the tree overhead, sat a good looking white robed guy.
What a great painting of a handsome looking man with a snowy backdrop.
But Mu Wushuang did not move, her gaze cold and clear as she looked up indifferently at the person up in the tree, a mischievous looking glint flashing in her eyes for just an instant.
When the guy saw Mu Wushuang, his eyes shone briefly with surprise before he smiled warmly, his gaze gentle as he said to her.
“Little palace maid, I’ve got pins and needles in my legs sitting up here. Can I trouble you to help me pick that jade pendant on the ground up for me?”
Mu Wushuang smiled lightly and her eyebrow arched up. “Are you an idiot? Looking at how I am dressed, so I even look like a palace maid?”
“You’re not a palace maid?” The guy was a little surprised, before he immediately said in an apologetic voice: “I’m really sorry. My humble self has been too rash and blunt. May I please ask if the Young Miss will help me pick that jade pendant up?”
He was good looking, and there was a smiley glint in his gaze when he looked at her, like he only had eyes for her alone. Most women would find it hard to refuse such a sincere plea from a man as good looking as him.
The corners of Mu Wushuang’s lips curled up. Just as the guy thought that she was going to agree, he heard one mono syllable come out from the young lady’s mouth.
“No.”
Upon saying that, she turned around and left without looking back.
Not long after she left, the white robed guy jumped down from the tree and stared into the direction she had left, the pair of handsome earnest looking eyes of his holding nothing but chilling malice.
“Your Majesty, do you want your servant to bring her back?”
The palace maid Miao Si had appeared behind him.
“She’s really that good for nothing Mu Wushuang?” Ximen Sheng asked with his brows furrowed, his gaze on fire, answering with a question instead.
The Mu Wushuang he remembered, was a useless good for nothing in the Hou Manor who was unable to cultivate any spirit powers or martial arts, one who always pestered his younger Fourth Brother relentlessly, a woman who did not know shame.
But that person he saw before him just now, besides being rather plump in shape, that face of hers had very nearly stunned him, one who had seen countless beauties throughout the lands. He really believed, that if she were to slim down, she would definitely become a rare beauty throughout the world.
She wasn’t as ugly to look at like all the rumours said she was.
And she didn’t seem like a person who just could not take her eyes off a handsome looking guy at all.
Seeing Miao Si nod, Ximen Sheng’s eyes narrowed as a resolute smile came to show on his face, determined to get what he wanted.

A couple of days ago, at the risk of almost half his life, Grand Master Yun Zhen spared no effort to cast a divination lot which prophesied these few words.
