Chapter 57.3: Imperial Uncle’s Jealous
“Guards, drag that palace maid out of this Emperor’s sight. How dare she disrespect the Imperial Uncle.”
At that moment, the Emperor spoke in a stern voice, and then turned to Song Yiyang to continue to say.
“Crown Prince Song, please take your seat.”
Song Yiyang winked at Mu Wushuang, and then bowed before the Emperor above before going on to take his seat at the side.
Mu Wushuang looked at Song Yiyang and then turned to look at the Imperial Uncle. One on her left and one on her right, both with a peerlessly outstanding good looking countenance. However, one was passionate like fire, the other cold like ice.
Thinking about it for a moment, she decided to first pacify the Imperial Uncle a little, as she still needed him to shield her here in the Imperial Palace.
“Imperial Uncle, do you want a lychee? Let Shuang Er peel one for you.”
She picked up a lychee in her hand, and peeled the hard skin off, to reveal the smooth juicy lychee flesh inside as she brought it close to Long Moshen’s mouth.
Long Moshen gazed deeply at her and she spinelessly gave him a sheepish smile, as she pushed the lychee closer to Long Moshen’s mouth.
“This Prince does not like lychees.” Long Moshen said coldly as he turned his face away.
Oy! Is this a little tantrum here?
Mu Wushuang then quickly picked up a bunch of grapes, and starting peeling off the skin as she said: “Then let the Imperial Uncle have some grapes. Shuang Er remembers that Imperial Uncle loves grapes.”
And he ate an entire bunch the last time!
Long Moshen did not say anything and did not look at the young lady. Mu Wushuang brought the grape up next to his mouth and said coyly: “Imperial Uncle, Shuang Er’s hand is feeling sore holding it up for so long….. You should hurry up and eat it!”
Long Moshen was then seen turning his head around, his eyes staring deeply at her once more, as if he was issuing her a warning that she must not get too close to other men, before he opened his mouth to accept the freshly peeled grape from her hand.
Mu Wushuang smiled faintly. Time tested old tricks like this never fails, and even the Imperial Uncle was not immune to it!
She felt that she had already grasped how she could coax the Imperial Uncle.
The antics between Mu Wushuang and Long Moshen were seen by so many pairs of eyes at the banquet.
Song Yiyang did not underestimate Long Moshen just because his legs could not walk but felt that the man was much more profound than he seemed, and was astoundingly capable and skilled. His Emperor Father had only managed to uncover that Long Moshen was secretly linked to great major powers like the Crimson Skies Hall and the Great Cosmos Pavilion in some ways, but was unable to find out anything concrete.
HIs mood was somber, as it looked like Long Moshen would be a strong rival in his pursuit of Mu Wushuang.
The Emperor Ximen Sheng saw all of Long Moshen’s highly irregular behaviour and he secretly thought to himself in his heart. This Imperial Uncle of his with a different surname was like a sword hanging suspended over his head and he would not find peaceful sleep as long as the man was not eliminated. He had always thought that the Imperial Uncle had no weakness but now, it seemed like the Imperial Uncle treated Mu Wushuang very differently from others. So if he was able to snatch Mu Wushuang from him and use the hands of the person that the man loved to kill him, just imagine just how exhilarating it would be.
