Chapter 58.1: Looking for This Prince’s Fiancee In Regards to What
The eyes of Ximen Sheng clad in his Dragon robe flashed with a scheming glint, his handsome looking face looking a little twisted from the nefarious thoughts going through his mind.
He only wanted to bring down Long Moshen as quickly as he could, otherwise he would never be rid of the sword hanging precariously over his head.
Hence, he was anxious to make Mu Wushuang become his woman, to make use of her to kill the Prince Regent.
In Ximen Sheng’s eyes, Mu Wushuang could be easily manipulated anyway he wanted, as all women, sought nothing else other than money and status. As the reigning Emperor of the country, he could bestow the position of Empress to her and he could see no reason that the young lady would refuse.
Moreover, having heard how much she loved good looking men and had even pestered his younger Fourth Brother to death, he immediately thought that he did not look all that bad himself, much better than his younger Fourth Brother at least. Although not as good looking as Long Moshen, but as the Imperial Uncle was crippled, he saw no reason that he would lose out to a cripple.
As those thoughts went through his mind, a smile came onto his face, and a look of confidence showed in his eyes. He could almost already see, on a day in the near future, where Mu Wushuang would drive a sword through Long Moshen’s unguarded heart, where his face would then look so hurt, shocked, and utterly depressed.
“Bring in the food!”
Ximen Sheng commanded in a loud clear voice.
Once the banquet ends, he would go look for Mu Wushuang. A woman like that would only need him to patiently coax her a few times and she would become his.
As Mu Wushuang was watching her weight, she did not eat much at the banquet. In order to humour the Imperial Uncle, she spent a great majority of the time picking food for the man. Over the period of that one meal, the Imperial Uncle’s frosty glacial face finally eased up slightly, and his eyes were no longer so terrifying that they frightened the palace maids and eunuchs into wetting themselves there on the spot.
As the palace maids were clearing away the dishes near the end of the banquet, Mu Wushuang suddenly felt a cold touch on her wrist. Lowering her head to see, she saw that the Imperial Uncle was holding her hand.
“Imperial Uncle, we’re out here in public…..”
Mu Wushuang had wanted to tell him that letting people see them pull and tug here before everyone here in public wouldn’t look good on him but she immediately swallowed those words back down into her tummy when the Imperial Uncle opened her hand and placed a jet black stone right into the middle of her palm.
“A Dimension Stone!”
Mu Wushuang cried out in surprise.
She recognized it to be a Dimension Stone. She had afterall spent nine million gold taels to buy one of these stones back at the auction. In the end, it had not even had the chance to get warmed up in her pocket before it was robbed away from her, which pained her heart for quite a long period of time.
But this Dimension Stone right before her eyes was a little bit more than double the size of the egg sized one she got before, the stone almost filling up her palm entirely. She could with just one glance that it must have been extraordinarily expensive. But the most important point was that this Dimension Stone would allow her to raise the level of her jade bracelet’s dimensional space, its value to her was immeasurable!
