Chapter 60.1: Kneel Down To Apologize
“Do you know why Mu Wushuang does not dare drink the wine this Princess has offered to her?”
Princess Tian Xiang’s hand held up the cup of wine, as her gaze swept over everyone in the crowd.
Everyone’s eyes showed only bewilderment and only Liu Jiaojiao’s face showed a scornful smile, her eyes looking at Mu Wushuang filled with feigned sympathy. To embarrass oneself before so many nobles and high officials, it must surely be hard to bear!
Princess Tian Xiang then continued to say in a loud voice.
“It is because Mu Wushuang has eaten the Intoxicating Fleeting Bloom. Does anyone know what the Fleeting Intoxicating Bloom is?”
“Intoxicating Fleeting Bloom? Isn’t it some kind of concoction that is sold on the black market that makes a person become beautiful? Didn’t it get banned from being sold out in the open market because the drug was deigned to be too fake? Did Mu Wushuang really take that banned drug?” Someone exclaimed in a loud voice.
“That’s right! Mu Wushuang has taken the Fleeting Intoxicating Bloom to make herself look beautiful now! Who doesn’t know Mu Wushuang’s fame for being ugly looking, a fat and hideous freak! That is why she does not dare to drink this Realgar wine here in my hand, as after she drinks this cup of Realgar wine, her real looks will be revealed! She is afraid that she would frighten all of you with her looks and she does not dare drink!”
Princess Tian Xiang said with a contemptuous laugh.
She wanted the Imperial Uncle to know just what manner of goods he was getting with Mu Wushuang, and a woman like her isn’t fit to stand beside him at all!
When everyone heard those words, they were all taken aback with shock, their faces turning to show scorn and ridicule.
The sisters Mu Ningxue and Mu Ningwei were feeling reinvigorated and comforted. Mu Wushuang had stolen the limelight the entire night and quite a number of young nobles had thrown interested glances Mu Wushuang’s way during the banquet. If she wasn’t still quite so plump and rotund, all the men might have surrounded her the entire night. But even though that was the case, she still had the East Dawn Country’s Crown Prince, Song Yiyang, on one side of her, and the Prince Regent, Long Moshen, on the other, and that scene alone was enough to make everyone jealous of the young woman.
Never would anyone have thought that Mu Wushuang had taken the Fleeting Intoxicating Bloom to make herself beautiful, and it was not because she had really slimmed down. Everyone was just waiting at that moment to see her drink the Realgar wine and have her real looks be exposed to everyone to see, believing that both Crown Prince Song and Long Moshen would be shocked and furious!
Mu Wushuang almost laughed out loud. What the hell was the Fleeting Intoxicating Bloom? These people are really quite an imaginative bunch!
“Princess Tian Xiang, how are you so certain that I have definitely taken the Fleeting Intoxicating Bloom?”
Mu Wushuang asked.
“Because this Princess just saw you a few days ago and you were not anything close to being as thin as you are now. There is no miraculous elixir in this world that would allow a person to lose so much weight in such a short period, so it is not possible for you to have lost so much weight. Hence, this Princess is absolutely certain that you must have taken the Fleeting Intoxicating Bloom. What now? You’re still trying to deny it? It would not matter what you say now as you will just have to drink this cup of Realgar wine and the truth shall surface!”
Princess Tian Xiang continued to say accusingly.
Song Yiyang wanted to step forward to speak up for Mu Wushuang as he believed in the young woman’s words unconditionally, and did not want to see her suffer the tiniest bit of aggrievement. But he saw Mu Wushuang go on to say to Princess Tian Xiang with an indifferent and nonchalant smile on her face.
