Chapter 65.2: A Duel to the Death
In the plaza just outside the city gates, the place was now thronged with a large crowd of people, many of them braving the snow as they waited to watch the duel between the young lordling and Mu Yuheng.
Most of all these people had come because they had placed a bet on the duel. Although they knew that the young lordling was sure to triumph, they still wanted to witness the entire process. People just loved to latch on to the hype.
Seeing that the scheduled time for the duel was almost up and Mu Yuheng still had not shown himself, many people were getting peeved and they started to shout and jeer, their voices mocking and humiliating.
“Your Highness the Second Prince, if Mu Yuheng fails to turn up, will it be considered that he lost?”
Someone suddenly asked in a loud voice as he looked up at the Second Prince, Ximen Hai, up on the stage.
Once those words came out, everyone else turned to look at Ximen Hai as well. Afterall, they did not care whether Mu Yuheng lived or died, but what was more important to them was that their bets remained safe.
The reason Ximen Hai had come here was to hype up the event for his son. His favourite son was about to come out triumphant in a duel to the death, so he must naturally come celebrate it with him by his side.
Hence, upon hearing someone pose that question to him, he immediately replied generously: “If Mu Yuheng does not show up, it is only natural to determine him to have lost. And even if he comes, the bets all of you have placed are sure to win. This Prince will not stinge on such small technicalities.”
Upon hearing the Second Prince’s response, everyone smiled with anticipation, all ready to collect their winnings.
“The good for nothing really came!”
It was not known who among the crowd suddenly shouted in a loud voice.
Everyone turned to look to the side, and saw Mu Yuheng dressed in a long white robe, cutting a tall but somewhat thin figure, and not the slightest ounce of spirit power fluctuation could be detected from him. The people could not help but shake their heads in pity, thinking in their heads: this good for nothing is delivering himself to his own death.
Many women among them looked at the handsome and good looking Mu Yuheng, taken by the beauty but also feeling a sense of regret that such a suave and attractive young youth was going to breathe his last very soon, to become a cold lifeless corpse.
If that mishap had not happened back then, he would be so blindingly brilliant now, instead of being reduced to such a wretched state now.
And his own biological sister Mu Wushuang had then sealed a duel to the death for him, which was just absolutely hateful and detestable of her. Just for a brief moment of self gratification, she had made her younger brother who was a walking medicine bottle give up his life, sending him to his certain death.
How could anyone have such a venomous hearted sister! ?
She was just too loathsome. If not for Mu Wushuang, Mu Yuheng would not have to die. With his handsome good looks, many women would be willing to lower themselves to marry beneath their status. Moreover, he was still a Young Master of the Hou Manor, which would be enough to allow them to live their lives in the lap of luxury.

The Honourary Young Lord mocked as he came forward, his gaze looking at Mu Yuheng filled with contempt.
