Chapter 70.2: Just GIve Up On that Thought

What Feng Yun did not know was that Yun Hao had not met with any fortuitous encounter but it was because Mu Wushuang has gifted many of the unfinished elixirs she had to Yun Hao and had also given him quite a few good pointers which caused Yun Hao’s cultivation to progress at a rather amazing speed.

If Feng Yun had not chosen to go against Mu Wushuang back in the beginning, he would probably have been the person who would gain all those benefits. It was then wondered whether his intestines would turn green from envy if he knew that.

Mu Wushuang could not be bothered to look at Liu Jiaojiao and Feng Yun for another moment longer and went on to climb into the horse carriage like those two people were not there at all, to embark on her journey back to the Hou Manor with her beautiful little brother.

As for the Imperial Uncle, that king of jealousy was fuming. After Mu Wushuang received the Imperial Edict, he had gone straight into his study and refused to see anyone.

He was probably angry at her for moving back so quickly.

The moment she thought how fevered his eyes became everytime he looked at her lips, Mu Wushuang just wanted to laugh. He clearly looked every inch like an icily beautiful man who was frosty and frigid, why is he always thinking about kissing her?

And she still had to pretend like she did not understand why he was looking at her like that, and brush it off.

Ever since the two times she had been kissed by him in the sedan back then, they had not kissed again after that.

Now that she was going back to the Hou Manor, it was even more difficult for him to have a chance to kiss her, no wonder he was so angry.

One would yearn more for what they could not get.

Mu Wushuang knew that very well and that was why she had kept him in suspense. In a game of cat and mouse, whoever stops first would lose. Similarly here, whoever puts their heart into it first will be the loser.

She had merely wanted a no commitment relationship with the Imperial Uncle with no real feelings involved, but looking at it, it seemed like the Imperial Uncle was not just playing, which made her wonder whether it was the right decision for her to go antagonize the Imperial Uncle right from the beginning.

So, it would be best to leave him out to dry for now.

Maybe after she has slimmed down after a few more days, he would just lose interest in her on his own.

The horse carriage rolled along, and soon reached the Hou Manor.

“This place is the Hou Manor, identify yourself!”

She had just reached the main doors when Mu Wushuang and her people were stopped by the guards standing guard outside.

She almost wanted to laugh out loud from indignation. This was her own house, and she was being stopped at the doors and was asked to identify herself! That’s crazy!

“It is the Hou Manor’s Third Young Miss and Fifth Young Master here. Who are you people to be standing guard at the Hou Manor’s front doors and are unable to even recognize the Young Miss and Young Master! ?”

Sang Lan raised her voice to admonish loudly as she pointed her finger at the guard.

“You say that you are the Hou Manor’s Young Master and Young Miss? Then show us some proof!” The two guards said disdainfully as they pointed their wooden staffs at the group of people.

Mu Wushuang’s eyebrow arched up, a dangerous glint flashing in her narrowed eyes.

Could those two guards be people from the branch family? !

That second branch family is really good at this. They were able to move in so quickly even before she did, and purposely put their guards at the doors to come make things difficult for her! Haven’t they openly severed ties with the Hou Manor already? Now that there’s a huge manor and they have immediately shifted their sorry behinds into it. They really could not be any more shameless!
