Chapter 74.2: It’s That Scoundrel!
“A purple crystal card!”
Mu Yuwen just could not take his gaze off the purple gold card. He had not expected for all the plans he had in mind to fall through just like that, and the look on his face turned dark. That was because the purple crystal card was something that was only given to the Scarlet Cloud Hall’s most privileged customers, and there were only about ten of these cards in existence throughout the entire continent. Unlike the other cards they gave out more freely, only the account holder himself would be able to use it, and the person would enjoy the most privileged service.
That meant that it would not be possible for him to “borrow” that card to use, unless Mu Wushuang personally brought him out to spend the money.
When the other people saw the purple crystal card, they were similarly stunned with shock.
Such a prestigious card and Manager Li came to give it to Mu Wushuang personally?

But Mu Wushuang knew that it was because the Minor Recovery Elixirs she placed with the Scarlet Cloud Hall had auctioned off at a heavenly price once more and it was her skills that made it only natural for the Scarlet Cloud Hall to want to win her over.
Unknown to her, Manager Li had actually received orders from his higher ups to personally deliver the purple crystal card into her hands, including those ten mercenaries, who were carefully hand picked for her by someone.
Everyone’s eyes were focused on that purple gold card, but the Second Prince’s gaze was fixed upon the ten mercenaries.
The shade of his face was looking extremely ugly, his eyes flared wide with anger as rage boiled up inside. He had originally intended to take advantage of the chaotic mess and root out Mu Wushuang and Mu Yuheng while they were on their way back to the Hou Manor with all that gold, never thinking that Mu Wushuang would actually get the Scarlet Cloud Hall’s Manager Li to come.
With that, Mu Wushuang need not protect the gold herself, and there was no chance for him to create a stir anymore, which made it impossible for him to take back that two million gold taels. Half of his intended plans had failed and things were no longer so certain.
Moreover, what he had not expected was that Mu Wushuang would actually get the Scarlet Cloud Hall to arrange for the Mercenaries Guild’s top ten ranked mercenaries to be her bodyguards! How extravagant!
And by doing that, she was only telling people that she was protecting herself from being killed and silenced.
Although he did want to silence the young woman, but with Mu Wushuang showing it so explicitly with all that protection, it displeased the Second Prince greatly.
The Second Prince clenched his fists and turned to go inside his palace, immediately ordering for the men he had sent out to come back. He then sent someone to contact the Assassins Guild, to take the lives of the siblings Mu Wushuang and Mu Yuheng at all cost! And they must not fail no matter what!
As Manager Li ordered his men to carry the gold away, many people who had evil intentions earlier naturally decided that they would not dare to steal from the tiger’s mouth that was the Scarlet Cloud Hall, and although the purple gold crystal card was highly prestigious, no one else would be able to use it at all, so all those people who secretly harboured any nefarious intentions towards Mu Wushuang quietly slipped away.
