Chapter 83.3: Henpecked
The tea was a little cold, and did not taste nice.
That was the first thought that came to Little Quan’s mind.
But he did not even have time to count his lucky stars when a bout of excruciating pain wrecked his entire body. It felt like someone was smashing a heavy hammer all over, his internal organs wrenching up painfully…..
With a thud, Little Quan fell bleeding from all seven orifices, dead before he even struck the ground.
Ximen Sheng was overcome with shock. The Soul Sealing Powder was really lethal! But Mu Wushuang was still completely fine, so it must be because she possessed some unique body constitution.
“Eek! I’m so scared!”
Mu Wushuang screamed out in fright, and went to hide behind Ximen Sheng. But not a single sliver of fear could be seen in her eyes at all.
“Wushuang, there’s no need to be afraid with this Emperor here beside you. Guards! Remove this assassin who has killed himself by taking poison!”
Ximen Sheng inadvertently revealed that he knew there was poison in the tea with those words.
A mocking glint flashed briefly in Mu Wushuang’s eyes before she continued to pretend to be afraid. “Your Majesty, your vassal is scared. Your vassal would like to go home.”
Ximen Sheng was afraid that she’ll continue to offer more snacks to him and he quickly nodded as he said: “Wushuang must have taken quite a scare. This Emperor will get someone to escort you out of the palace immediately.”
He went on to say a few more gentle words of consolation to her and then let her leave.
Once she was outside the Imperial Palace, Mu Wushuang took out her handkerchief to wipe her hands clean. She had touched Ximen Sheng’s clothes earlier and just the thought of that disgusted her to no end.
“Shuang Er, come over here.”
The Imperial Uncle’s deep voice suddenly reached her ears.
She raised her eyes and immediately saw the Imperial Uncle’s horse carriage stopped a short distance away. She noticed that some fallen leaves had collected on the carriage’s roof and the Imperial Uncle was inside, holding a corner of the curtain up, to reveal his peerlessly good looking and handsome face.
Had he been waiting here since morning court ended and had not left at all?
But how did he know that she was there in the Imperial Palace?
Her footsteps were light as she walked over to him, before she jumped up into the horse carriage that had become familiar to her.
She then hugged the Imperial Uncle’s waist suddenly, as she nestled her head upon his wide chest.
“Imperial Uncle, you’re so nice.”
If her aim was not to go out to see all the good looking men throughout the world, she would have been a little tempted to marry him already. A man who was so powerful and protective, very few people’s hearts would not be moved by him!
Long Moshen froze in place for an instant, and the corners of his lips then slowly raised up. His violet eyes seemed to be holding sparkling starry skies inside, as he raised an arm to embrace her tightly.
The little dragon who had come out for a breather inside the horse carriage covered its eyes and thought to itself. I just cannot stand to watch this!
But that stinky woman is really something. The Master was in such a foul mood but just one hug from her and his Master became happy. Isn’t his Master being a little too useless here? Wouldn’t he become hopelessly henpecked in the future?
