Chapter 86.1: Scheming Man

 

Mu Wushuang personally went out to receive Song Yiyang.

Song Yiyang was very happy. He could see that Mu Wushuang was exceptionally friendly towards him today, which made him think that this Crown Prince’s charm had finally returned back to him once again. 

However, when they reached her courtyard, he saw a detestable man there, and the smile on his face congealed.

Who can tell him what is Long Moshen doing here! ?

Mu Wushuang’s mind was only filled with thoughts about the Fallen Cloud Mountain Ranges and had not noticed the fiery sparks flying between the gazes of the two men. She got Sang Lan to serve tea and feigned ignorance as she asked Song Yiyang what made him come all the way here.

“A secret realm opened up in the Fallen Cloud Mountain Ranges and I am in the midst of making arrangements for the first batch of people to go in there as a training trial. This Crown Prince has already given ten spots to the Howling Moon Dynasty and was wondering if Wushuang would be interested to take part in the trial. If you are, this Crown Prince will give you and Mu Yuheng an additional spot each.”

Song Yiyang was rather scheming and had thought it through. He was not certain that Mu Wushuang would be interested in the secret realm but as her younger brother, Mu Yuheng was a highly gifted prodigy, he thought that Mu Wushuang would definitely not refuse such a good opportunity for her younger brother’s sake.

If he were to suggest it in this manner, there was a very high chance she would accept it.

And if she accepts the invitation, they would be able to set off on the journey to the Fallen Cloud Mountain Ranges together, where their relationship would then deepen. Moreover, the Fallen Cloud Mountain Ranges was with the East Dawn Country’s borders, and he would be able to call the shots there. When the time comes, it is said that the pavilion closest to the water captures the moon first, Long Moshen wouldn’t even be remembered.

Long Moshen would not be so thick skinned as to want to tag along would he?

With those thoughts going through his mind, the smile on his face became even more radiant.

Seeing the eager anticipation in Song Yiyang’s eyes, Mu Wushuang had to suppress the delight rising up inside, and acted like she was giving it careful thought.

But the slight curve at the corners of her lips clearly showed the joy she was feeling inside.

However, someone else’s face had become darker than the underside of a cooking pot.

Mu Wushuang did not notice that and was just thinking Song Yiyang was really quite a great guy. She was just dozing off and here he was, delivering a soft fluffy pillow to her.

She had been planning to go to the Fallen Cloud Mountain Ranges as her beautiful twin weapon spirits had prophesied that something divine would be born within those mountains, but a young woman making a trip there all by herself might be a little too conspicuous.

Because once the divine manifestation is born, the commotion would be enormous, which would cause a stir among the cultivators throughout the Nine Heavens Continent, where every single one of them would yearn to get their hands on the prize.

If she were to brashly make her way there on her own out of the blue, she would just attract too much unwanted attention. Regardless whether she would be able to get her hands on the divine object, people would grow suspicious of her.
