Chapter 86.2: Scheming Man
It must be known that a person is deemed a criminal just by possessing the cherished jade, and most people would rather wrongfully kill a thousand then to spare a single person’s life to be sure the threat is eradicated.
By that same logic, that was why one should not openly flaunt their riches.
Before one possesses sufficient powers to protect himself, it is best for him to lie low and pretend to be a pig that would come to swallow a tiger. When one is yet unable to protect themself, the best thing he could do would be to pretend to be a harmless and insignificant nobody.
But if she were to go to the secret realm in the Fallen Cloud Mountain Range with people who were there to undertake the trial, then she would not stand out at all. She would then be able to hide under that cover to fish in muddied waters, and it would all work out!
Hence, she only pretended to consider it for a short while before she happily accepted.
“It’s agreed then. We will set off for the Fallen Cloud Mountain Ranges together in three days’ time!”
Song Yiyang said in delight.
He then turned his triumphant gaze to glance at Long Moshen, his intention to show off evident and clear to see.
Remembering that he still had other tasks to attend to and he had to take his leave, he noticed that Long Moshen showed no intention of leaving at all. Song Yiyang then went on to say.
“The Prince Regent oversees a million things everyday, it must be hard to sneak a breather from your duties. This Crown Prince happens to have something to speak to Your Highness about, why not we discuss it as we walk?”
Long Moshen gave the man an emotionless glance, and his voice was cold as he replied: “This Prince isn’t on such familiar terms with you, and would very much rather talk to my future bride to be here.”
Song Yiyang did not get angry but thought that Long Moshen was being really crafty, always trying to lay claim and declare his right of possession. But he had already looked into it and knew that Mu Wushuang was not his future bride at all. Without the consent of her parents nor was there a betrothal made, how does that make her his future bride to be! ?
Unless the two of them have privately agreed to be with each other till the end of their lives on their own.
But from what he could see, Wushuang’s heart had not been moved by Long Moshen and it was all just a one sided affair on Long Moshen’s part.
Wait till they set off for the Fallen Cloud Mountain Ranges. He’ll then see how arrogant that Long Moshen can be!
Once Song Yiyang left, Mu Wushuang found herself being pulled in by Long Moshen’s outstretched arm, to fall into the man’s tight embrace.
His gaze was frosty as glacial ice, so cold it almost hurt. Very soon, he dominated her lips, their mouths interlocked, her person engulfed by the man’s tyrannical aura.
But though the Imperial Uncle was domineering, she felt that he had never curtailed her freedom. Although it could be seen that he wasn’t happy about it, he did not say a single word to stop her from going.
She could tell that the Imperial Uncle knew she had an ulterior motive in accepting Song Yiyang’s invitation but he did not probe, nor did he try to interrupt her plans, and that pleased her greatly. If he had really stopped her from going on the trip, then they can break off their relationship right here.
It’s her life, and she did not need anyone to tell her what she can or cannot do.
