Chapter 94.1: Just a Kiss
The doors into the sleeping chambers shut tightly, and the figure of his beloved woman could no longer be seen.
Long Moshen’s face that had turned warm for just a moment became frosty once again, as if he would not show any other emotion to anyone else besides Mu Wushuang.
Sang Lan stood on one side watching, like a clueless quail that did not see or hear anything. Eek, the cold and frosty His Highness is really just too scary.
Long Moshen sat unmoving in his spot for a whole hour before he stood up to leave.
That was when Sang Lan heaved a long sigh of relief inside, before she went in to report it to her Young Miss.
“Got it. It’s fine. You can go now, and I’ll nap for awhile.”
It wasn’t as if she really had no cultivated powers at all, but it was just carefully concealed, so she had already sensed that the Imperial Uncle had left.
But she did not have time to delve any further on that, as she needed to grasp the time to cultivate elixirs.
It must be known that she was seeking to go into the inner reaches of the Fallen Cloud Mountain Ranges. Compared to the outer fringes, the inner reaches would naturally be more dangerous. Though she was a spirit beast summoner, she was still unable to control demon beasts that were of a higher level. Moreover, even more powerful cultivators might appear there deep inside the inner reaches, it would serve her well if she had something more for self protection.
She worked on the elixirs till dawn the next day, and when she saw that it was almost time that she was supposed to meet Song Yiyang, Mu Wushuang summoned Sang Lan to help her freshen up and change, getting herself ready to leave.
Her beautiful looking younger brother was already waiting for her outside, a suave figure where he stood. He had shot up in height, and was a whole head taller than her.
“Sis.”
Hearing her come out, the youth turned around, and a gentle smile came onto his face.
“Young Miss, both you and Young Master must come back safe and sound!” Sang Lan said sadly, reluctant to part.
“Don’t worry, we will. Be careful as you will be here in the manor by yourself. If anything crops up, go look for Grandfather and don’t let those guys in the branch family pick on you.” Mu Wushuang told the young lass.
Mu Wushuang liked this little lass quite a bit and she was worried that Lady Wang’s side might come find trouble with the lass, so she went to speak to her grandfather about it beforehand.
After going to their grandfather’s courtyard to bid farewell, the two siblings then made their way of the manor.
The two of them were laughing as they chatted on their way out. When they reached the main doors, Mu Yuheng’s footsteps suddenly halted, and the smile on his face faded away.
Mu Wushuang followed the youth’s gaze, and never expected that she would see the Imperial Uncle’s sedan. Coincidentally, the sisters Mu Ningxue and Mu Ningwei were also just stepping out and the two of them started to make their way towards the Imperial Uncle’s sedan.
“Scram.”
The two sisters had not even gotten close to the sedan when they heard the Imperial Uncle’s deep imposing voice sound out.
Mu Wushuang’s face split into a smile. The Imperial Uncle was as brutal as ever, always an eccentric societal misfit.
Little did the young lady know, that someone had actually gained experience from several dozen romance novels, and one of the points he learned was to keep his distance from other women. It was best that he doesn’t even say a single word to any single woman, to give his own beloved a sense of security.
