Chapter 94.2: Just a Kiss
It was as if he had heard her soft chuckle, when a corner of the curtain on someone’s sedan lifted, before he waved at the young lady.
In the presence of other people, she was not going to make the Imperial Uncle lose face, so she went into his sedan with a bright smile on her face.
Mu Yuheng’s face was dark as coal. That Long Moshen is really just too smooth! His sister just left him to himself just like that!
Mu Ningxue and Mu Ningwei were feeling rather awkward and embarrassed after being chased away by Long Moshen. However, they could do nothing but to just stare hatefully at Mu Wushuang before they quickly climbed into their horse carriage to make their way to the city gates.
Just the thought of the mocking sniggers from those passersby earlier caused their teeth to itch with hatred towards Mu Wushuang.
They had merely wanted to offer a greeting to Long Moshen but ended up being mercilessly chased away by the man. And they really didn’t know what capability that good for nothing, the useless Mu Wushuang possessed that made His Highness favour her so much, to come all the way right in front of their doors to pick Mu Wushuang up for a leisurely trip.
It was until they reached the city gates and they saw the Crown Prince, Song Yiyang together with the Fourth Prince, Ximen Kang and the others that the malicious looks on the sisters’ faces receded, turning to reveal a gentle smile as they greeted the people there.
“Your Highness, it seems like everyone is already gathered already.”
Mu Ningxue’s gaze had not once left the figure of Song Yiyang the whole time. She had every intention of becoming his Crown Princess, as the next Emperor in line, barring anything unexpected, would be none other than Song Yiyang. She would then become the Empress. Just imagine the kind of honour she would bring upon her ancestors, and how highly worshipped and revered she would be.
When that happens, that Mu Wushuang would be nothing before her! Even if she were to marry Long Moshen, she would just be the Imperial Consort of a crippled Prince Regent. How could she even be compared to her at all?
And because she had been so focused on Song Yiyang, she noticed that the Crown Prince seemed to be rather distracted, his mind elsewhere and he kept turning his eyes to look inside the city, seeming to be waiting for someone.
“There’s someone who isn’t here yet.”
It looked like Song Yiyang was a little reluctant to speak to Mu Ningxue, when he responded to her rather curtly.
Mu Ningxue was a little puzzled. “Aren’t there only ten spots available? You’re expecting more people?”
“This Prince gave out two more places. Do I have to account to you for it?”
Song Yiyang really did not like having this woman buzzing around him like a pesky fly. He would not want Mu Wushuang to think that he was a flirtatious playboy, so his tone of voice was rude and curt, seeking to make Mu Ningxue back off from him instead of getting herself humiliated here.
Never expecting that the Crown Prince would speak to her in such a manner, Mu Ningxue’s face turned a very ugly shade in that instant. Snubbed by His Highness before so many people, she found herself in a highly awkward spot.
But she wasn’t just an ordinary woman. With tears beading up at the corners of her eyes, her lips stiffened in aggrievement, she put on a look like she was only the verge of tears, but was bravely holding it in and not allowing her tears to fall, as she quietly took a few steps away from the man.
What she did, made Song Yiyang seem rude and unkind, while she seemed like a pitiful and weak little lotus flower.
