Chapter 98.1: Relentless Shadow
Mu Ningxue suddenly felt an immense pressure engulfing her, pressing her down so overpoweringly that she could not even breath.
By the time she was able to draw breath, she was bathed in her own sweat, her clothes sticking to her skin as her bottom seated upon the ground.
And the figure of Lin Yu was not seen anyway around.
“Elder Sis, are you alright? That Lin Yu possesses only the Spirit Disciple’s ninth grade. How did he make you stagger back and fall like that?”
Mu Ningwei helped her sister stand up, not understanding why she was being so weak. Other people were looking at them here, it was so humiliating that she was so helpless and completely defenceless like this.
Ximen Kang gave that miserable looking sweat drenched sop a disgusted glance, before turning his eyes away from her.
Mu Ningxue was still feeling rather jittery with fear, the horror lingering from being unable to draw breath at all. She was completely oblivious to the presence of her younger sister and the contempt from the Fourth Prince beside her at that moment, her mind not understanding what Lin Yu had against her. Moreover, how did his cultivation become so deep and profound? She was a person who cared about her face the most, and looking so miserable and wretched like this was unbearably humiliating to her.
She would settle the scores with Lin Yu another day. He was just a commoner afterall, a person who did not have a strong backing. How dare he offend her like this! ? There are many ways she would be able to punish him for what he did here today.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Mu Ningxue then said to Ximen Kang.
“Your Highness Fourth Prince, let me go get myself changed out of these clothes first and we’ll go look for my Third Sis right after that. I’m sure she’ll be overjoyed when she sees that you are looking for her.”
Ximen Kang nodded his head. “Alright. Go and come back quickly.”
Mu Wushuang had become quite a handful to handle. It looks like he would have to be a little more patient with her.
By the time Mu Ningxue had tidied herself up and come down, the rest of the group were also making their way out. So they left the inn together to go to the black market, while they kept a lookout for Mu Wushuang.

“Why are you following us around?”
Mu Yuheng stood in front of Lin Yu who had followed them the entire way, to block his way forward as he questioned the guy in a stern voice.
“To protect her.”
“I will protect my own sister myself! Who do you think you are! ?” Mu Yuheng retorted angrily, his brows knitted up.
“You?” Lin Yu looked at him and said expressionlessly: “It’s more likely that she is protecting you instead.”
Mu Yuheng blustered indignantly: “That… That’s none of your business!”
He immediately felt that Lin Yu was really coming very close to being just as detestable as that Long Moshen as a person.
No matter how nasty Mu Yuheng’s words were, Lin Yu did not seem to have heard a single word of it, but just continued to follow Mu Wushuang silently, his gaze at times frosty and at times deep and unfathomable as he looked at her.
